Great place to stay and feel like you are at home. The hotel manager Diane made us feel right at home and was able to accommodate a later check-in. The breakfast (included) was amazing and even catered to celiac and vegan needs. Will definitely stay here again!!!!

Our stay with The Lady Macdonald was extraordinary. There is no greater word to use. It was an absolute experience that showed us majesty and professionalism. We call it a bed and breakfast due to the fact that we slept in a room that must have been occupied by royalty at some point and then served a fresh and delicious breakfast in the morning. Not only was our service genuine and exquisite but the entire building was clean, up to date, and very much exactly what we were looking for.
So often do we end up in these “hotel-like” stays where we aren’t allowed to touch anything or do anything that strays away from our room, which is what made this experience so enjoyable – we were allowed to explore! My boyfriend and I were celebrating our anniversary so it was an incredible feeling to be welcomed into their establishment as a gay couple.
When it was time for dinner, we had no idea where to go, being that we are both fairly indecisive people but Diane, the manager of The Lady Macdonald, gave us a brilliant suggestion to visit the cute and authentic Greek restaurant down the street. She was correct! It was everything we needed.
Coming back to the Inn was just as lovely as Diane greeted us at the door again, made us feel like family, and wished us a well night of sleep.
Diane should be recognized for her ability to run this entire establishment with very little assistance – as she floats around the Inn in a graceful, respectful manor. She knows who is staying, coming and going, and even their purposes of being there. She accommodates based on reasoning for staying and never shies away from a new experience! She waited up until one-in-the-morning waiting for a couple coming in from Germany!
Not only is this Inn accommodating, but it is always waiting for it’s next guests to arrive and give them the stay that they desire.
The bedding was so soft, clean and tidy. The pillows were like clouds. The bed was new and fresh. The Jacuzzi tub was perfect, stocked full of top-of-the-line products that are labelled, Aveda! We were so excited not to have to bring our own products from home!
The omelette in the morning was so delicious and the perfect start to our 5-hour mountain hike ahead!
We cannot wait for our next visit to The Lady Macdonald Country Inn. We intend on returning in the fall to celebrate a birthday, in hopes that we can stay in a different room and experience the place all over again. We were treated like we mattered, and that in itself is magical and necessary.

Amazing! If you want the feeling of home this is hands down the place to go. The rooms are extremely clean. Great friendly staff. Awesome homemade breakfast. It was a really well equipped place to stay. Just like staying at families. Would go there again and again.

Really nice bed and breakfast. The staff was really friendly and helpful. The breakfast was individually plated and consisted of a homemade French toast with a delicious blueberry filling, sausage and fresh fruit. It's close to the train so you get some loud sounds but they provide ear plugs. Definitely will stay there again!!

It's a really cozy hotel near Banff. My only concern was the city itself - there are better places to go near than Canmore. But if you need a place to rest near Canmore, The Lady Macdonald should be an option!

We greatly enjoyed staying at this location. The rooms are very cozy and comfortable and clean. The hosts are very friendly and accommodating. You are situated within walking distance to multiple restaurants. The breakfast is fresh and delicious. We would definitely come back.
