I live in Maple Ridge but would consider this my Local pub. Awesome food with great and friendly service. I stop in for lunch all the time and I'm in and out within a half hour.

We only stopped in for one drink, but the atmosphere is nice and conveniently located right across from the beach. I was happy to see Hey Yall as an option on the menu, but the prices for drinks were not very cheap. I would say it was a moderately priced menu.
Regardless, it's a nice and easy place to stop in on your own or with a group. They also have a nice patio to sit on when the weather is nice!response / report this review -

Local is a great bar with decent food, great location, and good service. Their prices also makes it a good-value-place.
I hadn't been here for a good 3 years until I went here the other night just after sunset. Although it's fall their patio is nice and warm with the gas heaters.
We arrived on a weekday night and were taken to a table on the patio right away. It may get really loud inside so the patio was perfect for us to enjoy couple of appetizers and drinks.
I highly recommend the calamari and the chips with guac made table side. Talisman ale from Strange Fellows Brewing was on special which makes it probably the best value for craft beer anywhere in the city now.response / report this review -

Recently ate here with a group of 6 people. Everything was good the food, the atmosphere and setup. However, the server wasn't the best which is why I have only given 3 stars.
At the end of our meal when we were paying she charged us an extra $10 on our bill. When I asked why we were being charged extra she said gratuity was included. This wasn't mentioned prior to us paying nor was this reflected on the bill. On top of that no one else at the table was charged extra.. Not sure why she felt that she had the right to add extra money to our bill??
The funny thing is, we were going to tip 18% anyways but because the other people didn't tip her enough she thought she she add it to out bill?
We ended up paying and not making a big deal but that makes me feel a little concerned about returning to this restaurant. I would just caution you to check what they put on the machine compared to what your bill says as this may be common practice at this location.response / report this review -

The service is always A+. Pretty, friendly, smart women serving up interesting brews. They have a decent rotating tap list, good daily drink specials and fair prices otherwise. The food used to make this a 5 star establishment, but the menu has gotten less interesting and more expensive with time. Whatever, I'll still make this my first choice for Sunday Caesars and a go to for a quick beer.

Really cool pub by the beach. Great craft beer selection and delicious pub food (burgers, tacos, etc.). The Big Kahuna burger is freaking amazing, there's everything on it. Good ambience, if a bit loud, and the waitresses are great.
Getting parking around here and actually getting a seat is a real pain in the ass, though. It's too busy on a Wednesday night, and I've never even attempted going there on a weekend. Be prepared to wait.response / report this review -

A staple in the kits beach area. Amazing patio and a great place to check out in the summer. Run of the mill joint with a good beer selection and decent food and simple menu. Laid paid and easy going vibes. If you are looking for a high-class restaurant - this is not the spot.

After hearing so many great things about Local I decided to go for some drinks and a bite to eat on a Friday afternoon. The location is great being right beside the beaches. When me and my party had arrived we had to wait for the patio as it was full being gorgeous sunny afternoon. We didn't have to wait to long of a time until we were seated on the patio. Once we were seated and greeted by our server she took our drink orders. As she came back around she had completely forgotten what I had ordered which was the first of the annoyances from the server. She apologized and brings me the beer I had ordered. Then we all placed our food order, three of which were the full order of fish tacos with fries. My one friend had ordered a single taco plus and order of chips and guacamole. All three orders of fish tacos had arrived plus the chips and guacamole but again something was forgotten. The single taco was not brought out by the food runner and we had asked how much longer till it was coming. The food runner said that it wasn't rung it with the rest of the food, he apologized and got the kitchen to quickly make one and informed us it would be on the house. For the rest of the time there our server didn't seem to come around as much and failed to check up on us in a timely manner. It would have been better for us to order multiple drinks at once instead of waiting for her to come around. The rest of my party insured me that the service is normally a lot better and maybe we had a new server and she was just trying to find her rhythm. We had looked around to see how busy the restaurant was and noticed it wasn't overly busy which didn't help that our server was on the slower side. Once we were satisfied with the delicious tacos and refreshing beers we had asked for our bills. When she came around with the bill we all checked over to ensure everyone's food was on the correct bill. She had to reprint the bill three times before it was correctly done. I would definitely come back to Local as the food was great and they have an excellent beer menu with a great patio. Hopefully though next time we will have a server that is on his/her game.

Loved the service , super caring staff and super friendly staff. Ami was our waitress , very friendly and warm person , best waitress I have ever seen :)) , Sophie was the manager and she personally took care of our order. Very impressive and I will definitely be back again and again. Thank you so much for your great service Sophie and Ami :))

A nice place to get together with friends. The staff is helpful and friendly. The food is good, if not a little pricier than expected. The location is great as it is right by Kits beach. If you're looking for a local place to grab a few beers then this is it.

I cannot count how many times I've been to this place. Great spot on Sundays for sports, better spot in the evenings for socializing. People around the bar are always chatty, which is perfect in a cell phone obsessed world. If you're not down for that, grab a booth and hang with your friends. Drinks are reliably tasty and food is always fast.
