I used to love this place , coffee was still good but they changed the menu and I feel like lowered the quality of the food. I would come all the way from Port Moody but that was disappointing. Menu items that I liked were either gone or completely changed . Hash browns used to be my favourite now they are just okay. Please please please go back to the old menu and way of making things and you will once again be the best breakfast place in Vancouver
It's sad to see change for the worse
New management? Money issues?
I really like Catch 122 for so many reasons. The service is always so good and friendly here. The atmosphere is always easy and comfortable. And the the food is absolutely delicious here. Especially their desert. I’ve had every desert on the menu and I highly recommend them all!
Came for brunch on a Saturday and was pleasantly surprised that the wait wasn't too long. The food was great but my favourite part was being given the tiniest bite of a blueberry loaf with our hot beverage s. It was super yummy and was a lovely pairing with my tea!
Amazing brunch. Good variety of dishes. Loved the combination of flavor of the pull pork Benedictine Eggs! Service was not the best. System was slow, which causes problems in the whole operation. I understand that. Definitely a place to repeat!
Rustic decor, cozy feel. Menu is small but has creative plate choices. Our server was helpful and friendly. Irish coffee and scones were the bomb!!!!! Also great brunch spot. I recommend it!!!
Hip place with great service. I had the Catch 122 breakfast and really loved it but the kids little breakfast needs some redesigning. Too much fat and carb content with very little protein.
After waiting 10 minutes for hot sauce and ketchup, eating our then cold food (that really wasn't that great) and asking for the bill, the server HARASSED my friend about why she didn't leave a tip on the bill. Besides the fact that we are both young university students, I'd like my server to remember that tips are given at the customers discretion. I work at white spot as a server myself and would NEVER even question the amount of a tip given on a bill, even if there was none at all. All in all, the food was average, the service was absolutely disgusting, and with the obviously sarcastic wish to "have a great day" as I walked out the door, I will not be coming back. I have posted to all my social media platforms about my experience & will never recommend this place to anyone - in fact I will make a point of telling them to avoid this place. Ps: I gave one star because giving zero isn't an option.
Nice environment. Servings were a little small but were filling enough. The fried chicken was sweet and delicious. Staff was friendly and food was quick.
Solid option for breakfast for quite reasonable cost.
When looking for somewhere in the downtown area to grab some breakfast I noticed this place on Google Maps. Our group of 5 decided to give it a try and headed towards Catch 122. We arrived ~10:30 to find people standing on the street and an apparent wait of about 45mins. Though we shopped around a bit to see if other nearby places had a shorter wait (based on the hostess' recommendations) we decided to return to Catch 122. It was well worth the wait.
The interior of the restaurant is stylish and not too crowded despite the full restaurant. The food was good and at only $13/plate well worth it. Between the 5 of us we got a variety of dishes and were all more than happy. Our server was very good.
I will be back.
Fantastic food! And great service! One of the few great brunch places on our list. We haven't tried one thing we haven't liked. Bonus they make their own sausage (so delicious) and pickle their own veggies.
Lunch, dinner, happy hour or brunch you will not be disappointed!
Great place for great brunch. I have been here a few times with friends and each time I realize that not only is their food great but their service as well is perfect! Strongly recommend .
This place is also a delicious spot to get a stellar deal. Their happy hour is among my favourite in the City. For those of you who like cocktails, this joint knows how to serve them up. I've tried many of their cocktails but always revert back to my favourite, a classic bourbon sour which they nail and for the killer price of $7 during happy hour, you seriously can't go wrong. Their fried chicken is my favourite and a dish I highly recommend paired with their frites. If you and your boo are at all like me and mine, you will totally enjoy going to their happy hour, trying as much of their delicious cocktails as you can, and feasting on some killer food.
Worst experience ever. After waiting an hour for a table (which if the food and service is good, is not a problem) the server messed up our order, forgot food and nothing was done despite requesting to speak with the manager and resolve the situation. Sorely disappointed. If you're looking for a good brunch spot try Wildebeest next door. They actually have good service and delicious food.
Everything here was awesome! We came in for brunch and loved it. The slightly unique but not too far off traditional brunch items were awesome. Food and drinks were delicious, we had excellent service and it was a good price point for downtown brunch. Highly recommend!
Happily Impressed!. We went here for dine out this year and I was pleasantly surprised. Slight wait to be seated but everything worked out. The cocktail list was super yummy. Lots of great drinks to choose from. The food was tasty and portion sizes were good. It was the $35.00 menu and the value was excellent. Out of all my dine out experiences (5) this was my favorite. I will definitely return. I also want to come back and try breakfast.
