Went for drinks and had a great time. Three things stand out about this place - 1) the wonderful ambience and atmosphere - cosy and comfortable, with a couple of fireplaces; 2) the beer collection - quite a few beers both bottled and on tap - haven't come across this kind of a collection at too many places; 3) probably the best part - the servers who are very friendly and helpful.
Glad I came across this place, would definitely re-visit.
The people are really awesome, pretty standard beers but the local seasonal beer was amazing, we thought it was strange edamame was on the menu, but I'll be honest, best edamame I've ever had. And the nachos were ENORMOUS. Overall vibe of the place was just really nice laid back pub. Tvs everywhere for watching the game too!
Yummy food for decent prices. Good selection of items, friendly staff. Uneven flooring makes it hard to walk if you're not careful. Very hot downstairs, no fans or airflow but a nice ambience.
Decent beer list but small "pints". Food was ok.
Great prices and probably the most delicious, wholesome breakfast a person can get. Super cozy rustic interior, and the cutest little patio :)
The pub grub and drink at the Kingston are both pretty dependable AND pretty reasonable. What I love most though is the location - just far enough east of Granville to avoid the tourist hordes and clubbers, far enough west of the stadiums to avoid the worst of the event crowds, and far enough northwest of Yaletown to avoid the hipsters and poseurs. Perfect! Inside, the Kingston has multiple levels - including an open air courtyard reminiscent of Old Montreal. The space is broken up enough that, even though there is a lot of seating, you can find intimate-feeling spots for good conversation. A dozen or so beers on tap, including a modest craft selection, and a wine list that shows some thought.
Ordered nachos. Tasted like store bought salsa and guacamole that had cubed unripe avocados mixed it. Also saw a cockroach running around on the bar too.
Definitely a great starter joint if you're going out for the evening. The happy hour options are solid for food (we got the Guinness cheese loaf and fried pickle chips) and you can't go wrong with the beer and wine option on the list either. I ordered the trio flatbread for my main and it was delicious. It was thin, loaded with meat and cheese and had a great spicy flavour. I also love the open kitchen. Great for small or large groups!
Decent food and service with a good selection of beer all for a very fair price. Good Vancouver pub.
Love this pub great wings and the house red is pretty good too. I usually drink from the fine selection of beers but it's Sunday and wine night.
Great place and has a bit of everything, pool tables, TV's, large fireplace and lots of space.my new local
The place is nice, their beer and food are fine, service is great.
Good food and drink. Awesome space downstairs for groups to use. Very friendly and patient bartenders/servers (my friends were quite drunk but they took it in stride).
