Very comfortable and central. Surrounded by restaurants and pubs. So relaxing not to be in the city with a wander down to the water to watch the Bowen Island ferries and have sundowners and a light pub dinner. Driving around the hill to the Whytecliff Park and lookout to watch the sun set behind Bowen Island was a special highlight suggested by a friendly waiter at the Trolls Restaurant near the water in town. They served the best fish pie I ever had.
Wonderful front desk ladyvery knowledgeable! Mattress was hard and uncomfortable, shower was hard to use and terrible pressure. Very close to ferry and shopping area.
Very good view and fiendly staff, in a hot spot of Vancouver. Air conditioning is not the best in hot days.
Great location. Great staff and awesome service!
It's actually a decent motel in first impression, close to town, 1 minute walk from the pub with parking, shower, TV, (slow) Wi-Fi and comfortable beds. But there were a few things off including us not being able to find the thermostat (with four people, the room got hot and stuffy), the slot for the security chain for opening the door was hanging by one screw, and I can't give any location more than one star if the first time I enter the restroom I must remove a centipede. It was a decent stopover, but the rooms need a little more attention.
Best suite for a motel I have seen. Excellent amenities.
NO AIR CONDITIONING makes this place unlivable!!
Last night it was 30 degrees outside - and guess what it was inside? You got it, the exact same thing. This hotel has NO air conditioning whatsoever, and only a small fan which does nothing but blow the hot air around faster. The windows, additionally, are too small to make a different to the heat.
Unsurprisingly, no one in my travel group was able to get to sleep at all last night.
There is also no ice to be found anywhere.
Find somewhere else WITH AIR CONDITIONING and an ice machine - pay a few extra dollars to actually be able to SLEEP.
Great Value and Location. We booked this Motel for the proximity to the Ferry as we were taking the earliest one. The lady at the front desk was super helpful having a drawn map of the area for the quickest route to the ferry. She even made great recommendations for dinner. Also we had read reviews that the Motel had paper thin walls, so we came prepared with earplugs. We did indeed need them, but it's all about being prepared. The Motel was super clean and good otherwise. Would stay here again for sure
The hotel is overall pretty great. It's close to the ferry which is specifically why we choose to stay there. The room was very clean. We had a mix up with booking on our end and the lady working that night was fantastic in helping us resolve the issue.
The only negative I can think of (which was a non-issue for us) is that the walls seem to be fairly thin in regards to noise. This didn't bother us at all but I thought it should be mentioned.
Overall I would highly recommend staying at this motel!
