Great hotel, a little dated but it was a great place to stay at. Staff was very friendly and helpful when asked about things to do in the city.

You can't beat this location for the price. That being said, it is clearly older and run down a bit. You will also have to put up with a fair bit of noise. However, I would happily stay here again!

The most important feature in a hotel room for me is the bed. And I wish the bed & linens were as high quality as the rest of the hotel.
Both nights I stayed I ended up sleeping on the floor. The bed is squishy with no support and the pillows are little more then disguised tissue paper.

Pleasantly surprised by how clean the rooms are for a 2 star hotel. Expect to get dated furniture (you get what you pay for) but the location is as prime as you can get in the West End. Bed was comfortable and pillows new. My only complaint would be the amount of furniture is too much for a room that size and noisy construction in the back of the building all day long.

A real down to earth experience. Close to the beach. Staff met all our needs. For an aging hotel it was a fun experience.

Clean, spacious. Easy check in. Only one key, parking difficult to find, old and poor windows and outlets. Otherwise good.

Will be generous here by giving three stars. Antiquated furniture in the rooms (1970s). The room was, however, spacious, and equipped with all the essentials and the staff was okay too.

I opened my curtains to see a dug out construction blasting zone right next to the hotel- that began blasting at 8:00 a.m. and shook my bed Parking was extremely narrow and dangerous to access.

For $140/night you're paying too much- regardless of the proximity to the beach. And how can you expect payment when there's early morning construction next to your window, shaking your room? Hmm.

This place is horrible. Stinks. Inside and outside very old. Staff is good but everything looks dirty. Smell gave us a headache. Couldn't sleep cuz of noise till 4 in the morning. Windows are old and not safe. Has to pay for parking. ( $ 21 per night) I never recommend this place for anyone.

It's not luxury accommodation by far but considering the price, close proximity to English Bay, and the friendly staff, well worth it for a short stay in downtown Vancouver.

One of the worst nights in recent memory, dirty mildew ora to building, I get the cheapest hotel in the city but you really feel it. Also be cautious when checking in with your credit card, the clerk copied the front and back of cc in addition to my drivers license. Very illegal and not nessaery. My advice.. Go as far as you can the other direction.

Stayed at this place knowing it was far from a top knotch hotel and it actually was fine for having that kind set. It's clearly dated in all possible aspects, but it had clean sheets and towels, which is really all I can ask for in a budget hotel. The staff were kind to me and my boyfriend. Overall I'm happy with this place, I just hope that they can upgrade their rooms in the near future to appliances and fixtures from this century.

A tad old and overpriced, but clean, well kept, full kitchen, and spacious

Perfect if you're not fussy. I would absolutely recommend this hotel. Excellent location and the price can't be beat. I would definitely stay here again in a heartbeat.
