Went in looking for a new wildlife lens for my camera. Staff was very helpful and patient. I was with a salesman, John who was exceptionally patient and showed me 10+ lens up to and a bit after the store was closing. He even suggested that I wait and do a bit more research before making a big purchase. Will definitely be returning to this store, the customer service here is excellent!

Go-to store for any photographic equipment. They have a wide selection of cameras and lenses. They even have a pre-owned section where you can buy items at a lower price. Last time when I needed to get my passport pictures I went here, and they were prompt and friendly. Highly knowledgeable staff. Stan is awesome!

Usually great service; fantastic, local-shop vibes. Prices are better or on par with bigger competitors. If I could, I'd only shop here for camera gear, but their selection isn't always great given their smallish size. Very good quality film scans and processing.

I come from out of town, drop off my film, and have them ship me my negatives (and copies!) within 2 weeks for the best price around. And the bonus is that they actually Dropbox your scanned copies before shipping, so you know how each of your exposures turned out! So awesome!

Nice location; across from St. Mike's hospital on Queen. Pretty good selection and knowledge staff. I'm not a camera buff but I needed an accessory for my tripod. The rep was patients and showed me options; it was refreshing not to be looked at like a tool because you aren't versed in the photography world

If you're a student this is the place for you. They have great discounts on Kodak film and developing. With the student discount I've found it's the cheapest lab to develop my negatives. The staff is knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. Their film stock is quite good.

Had my passport photos taken by George and am very pleased with the result. I'm not photogenic, so he didn't have much to work with, but he's a conscientious pro and made me look all right. George is an amiable person, and knowledgeable about the specs of different passports. Definitely recommend!

Bizarre customer service practices. I had purchased a variable ND from Downtown Camera and when I was in the store noticed a mini crane that was on display. I enquired on pricing and the sales guy ..John W I think told me to call back in to confirm if they had all the parts etc. This was early June. When I called back in he forwarded me to another salesperson who insisted this was the smaller version of the product line but having seen the item myself and knowing the two different cranes knew this was incorrect. When I requested to speak with John again he agreed the product was the model I had thought it was but said that they had to look for the parts to make sure they could sell it to me. Weeks went by and nothing. I called back in and again he confirmed the model but no idea on parts. He'd call me back he assured me. Still nothing for a couple more weeks. This past week, end of July 2017, I called in again and got someone else who also assured me that someone would call me the very next day with at least some information. Of course no phone call was received. I thought these guys sold camera gear for a livingHonestly I have not seen this in over 35 years in Pro Video production. NEVER It is a mystery how this place operates cryptic communications. BAD customer service in my opinion.

I actually called them back and got the salesperson who promptly told me how much he liked my review. He just defended his action saying it was hard to find the part. Not a thank you or sorry or even goodbye.

The staff was very helpful, was able to get a hold of a 18-105 when I called in. Lot's of stock and variety for used and new stuff. You are able to interact with the camera's on display. I was able to bundle some stuff and get a small discount as well as price match with Henry's. Would buy from here again!

Stan is the best! He is funny and has a charm to him. Prices only went up a little bit but it's been so long since they had price increases. The lab does take a bit longer then other places but I know it is for quality control. Never had a bad experience at the store. Hope you guys stick around for decades to come!

Good selection, knowledgeable staff. Excellent range of film, feels like a real camera store not a computer shop.

I have been going to Downtown Camera for years now and the staff are always friendly, always helpful and treat me like I just walked into their home. I have to say, I look forward to going there. I have used the full range of services and I get great service every time. They always have stock and they are very professional. Considering they are downtown and retail can be challenging, the staff are always upbeat. I'd like to give a shout out to Carly--you are sooooo knowledgeable about what you do! Well done!

Always a great service and huge selection of films. I come here whenever I can to get my films processed. $10.50 will get you development and totally usable scan, so save your money and go here!

Came here to get a picture taken for a visa for a trip to China. They knew exactly what the requirements were, took the picture, cut it, and got me on my way quickly. Oh, and they seemed to be really into amateur and professional photography equipment.

I live 5hrs from Toronto and have used their mail-in services a couple times now. Ive also dropped film off passing through Toronto. The dropbox option is so convenient! The staff in all departments are very friendly and helpful. They are great to deal with, seriously. The lab team does an amazing job, the quality of the scans really made me a happy customer.
