Really nice spot for a quiet coffee or snack on Bloor West. They've got an impressive array of items, including some truly giant and delicious looking cinnamon buns. Their staff is friendly and the place isn't huge so it has a nice cozy feel. Will definitely be returning sometime soon

Great selection of beans to buy and they can grind it for you if you don't have a grinder, also very big yummy tarts!

I dont understand all the good reviews. I got foamy cappuccino here which tasted burnt, even though i specified a single shot. I have had better coffee at McDonalds!

A rare occasion that coffee made me genuinly happy, like they put in coca leaves or something. Felt so warm and fuzzy inside, I am sad I am only in the area for a week.

Good coffee. Good vibe. Only been there once. The sleeves don't fit the cups properly. And they don't fit the small cups at all.

I make a point of buying coffee beans from a local roastery so I can enjoy a fresh aromatic cup of coffee at home. I've purchased beans from the Coffee Tree twice now and I am disappointed with the quality. The beans just don't seem very fresh and their flavour falls flat. I won't be buying beans here again.

As it says on the paper bags of coffee they sell, it smells great inside of the store. Unfortunately, it is apparent they are amateur as they store the roasted beans in transparent glass containers right beside a window. It is widely known to store coffee beans in a dark container. There are much better coffee shops on the west side to buy roasted beans, I do not recommend this place

Hands down, my favourite local coffee shop! With excellent coffee and drinks, spectacular food, great service by friendly staff, and a clean and cozy atmosphere, it's no wonder Coffee Tree has been here for over 20 years. Featuring a great patio, a wide range of house roasted beans, an accessible entrance, and service with a smile, it's a must-visit! Coffee Tree is directly in front of Jane station and in the heart of Bloor West Village.

I moved into this area last summer, and this has been m o to coffee shop since. Great service and amazing coffee make me come back for more. It's nice to see that the coffee is responsibly sourced and roasted in-house. I'd definitely recommend Coffee Tree if you're ever in the area.

I get my coffee the way I like it here about 20% of the time. I have to remember to specify "single shot" otherwise what I get is a horrible imbalance of milk and espresso (just because single shots and double shots are the same price, it doesn't mean everyone prefers a double shot!). They should either ask "single or double?" or assume it's a single shot like normal espresso places. The dark roast coffee is also burnt so you are better off going with a medium roast. Last thing, the shot should go directly into the cup itself otherwise you lose most of the crema. Coffee tree, however, uses little pitchers to transfer the shot from the machine into the cup you drink from. I understand this is a limitation for those who order colossal drink sizes but I order the smallest size possible and they still do it. Considering all that, I think it's overpriced regardless of the quality of the organic, fair trade, etc. coffee beans that they get. I have been going there just because it was the only espresso shop nearby and I can grab it on my way into the subway. I also like the food and tea they serve. Too many times though I've left with a bad coffee which I didn't order because I didn't have time to wait for them to fix it. One of the girls there is also quite rude and a few times she tried to correct me on the difference between a cappuccino/cortado/latte (which was actually incorrect!). Thanks but I'm Italian :) The rest of the servers are extremely nice however. I'll go to Coffee Bouquets now
