Beautiful hotel. Exterior looks really nice. Rooms are decent. Close to highways. Costco is across the street. Breakfast is included. Decent price. Good deal overall.
Cool Scottish-themed hotel. Good for an overnight near the airport. Included breakfast was good.
EV/Tesla owners: If you are considering staying here, look elsewhere. They do have chargers, but it's on a 2 hour timer. We woke up in the morning and only charged 40 miles overnight!
If you don't like rude people, don't stay here. There was a chinese tourist group and they pushed their way around the breakfast buffet, cut in line, and grabbed the tongs out of my kids hands at the hot food stations.
This place is cheaper than other hotels in the area, and offers free parking. But if you are looking forward to an enjoyable experience I'd suggest you spend a little more and look elsewhere.
Looks very clean and sanitary-- unless you have a sense of smell..doggy dog dog. Smells terrible!! And I live with a giant lab and two cats! BYOF-- bring your own Febreeze!
Ironically, the TV remote was sanitary-wrapped in plastic??!
Staff friendly and helpful. A good bit of road noise.
Close to airport with shuttle. Continental breakfast. Way too expensive for what u get. Cost me $350 C.
Great nights stay. Very comfortable bed. Good water pressure. Awesome complimentary full breakfast (scrambled eggs, bacon, breakfast sausage's, selection of fruits, breads and juice's)
This hotel is conveniently located just a couple of kilometres from the airport. A small breakfast buffet is included in the room price. There is a good restaurant and bar on site as well as a casino and Costco within walking distance. The rooms are clean and neat although the hallways smelled a bit musty. All in all a good quality place at a reasonable price
Older hotel out by the airport. Quiet though for close proximity to it. Not much around. Casino is close by with Costco across the street if you have a membership. 7-8 minute walk to Skytrain. Free shuttle to and from the airport. Rooms are clean but a little worn. Bathroom is nice and updated though. Free breakfast is always a plus. For the price definitely a fine choice. We were not in the room much. Mostly just a place to sleep and cleanup and it serves this purpose nicely.
10 day stay here. Hotel is on the dated side (there is an "old" smell when you walk in. During my stay I had a spider crawl on my bed. Also had a spider web in the corner of bathroom (which I left there during my stay to see if they pay enough attention to clean it, which they didn't). If you are sensitive to sounds you may want to find a different hotel. The hotel is close to busy streets and airport so it can be noisy. Also you will hear footsteps from the floor above you and the water faucet turning on. Staff doesn't greet you when you come in and out (only the Asian guy that usually worked weekday nights did). If you come in the hotel after 11pm you have to ring the doorbell to get in. Be careful of the elevator, it doesn't really have a sensor so it can close on you (yes it happened). Room cleaning starts around 8am (which is pretty early especially if you are on vacation and tend to sleep in a little longer. If you do sleep in, you risk not having your room cleaned, which happened to us) Only positives I felt of this place was that it was a good location (Close to Airport and Asian shopping malls) and the parking had plenty of spots.
my daughter has severe allergies and we asked the hotel to wipe down bathroom fixtures after cleaning with vinegar and to rise the bedding with no fabric softener THE MANAGEMENT DECLINED AND SAID THEY COULD HELP We have never been refused our requests at any Best Westerns across Canada. The Holiday Inn next door was pleased to meet our needs.
We were welcomed like old friends with wonderful service. All our needs were met and the staff was a joy to be with. The bartender had a great sense of humor, very enjoyable.
My husband wanted to stay at the Abercorn for old times sake. It had been his favourite place to stay when travelling in the west on business. Since retiring we have stayed a couple of times. Once again, staff were welcoming and proficient and we were in our rooms soon after arriving. The parking lot was quite crowded and it took a few minutes to find a spot to park and get out our luggage. We stopped in the bar for some refreshment before heading to our room and found the bar tender friendly and helpful with dinner suggestions. He was so pleasant that we stopped by after dinner for a nightcap and a chat with other patrons. The room was very clean and comfortable, bed linens crisp and the tv remote sanitized and wrapped. The wifi worked very well. Breakfast was plentiful and along with scrambled eggs and bacon, sausages, there was yogurt, fruit, pastries, bagels and toast. Checkout was simple and quick. There's no doubt that the decor is becoming dated, but the Abercorn is still a friendly, convenient to the airport, reasonably priced place to stay.
I find staff very friendly and accommodating. Some street noise to content with but thats usually early in evening. It nice when you come for 2nd stay and they remember you. Shuttle driver pleasant. Rooms clean. Close to Airport.
Hotel is convenient to the airport. It offers a quality shuttle service to the airport.
This hotel offers a quality breakfast in a comfortable dining room.
Parking is tight If you drive anything larger than a pickup.
The staff is courteous.
