honestly, I really liked the place, but when you do not pick up your phone, there's no point in having a phone number. Next time, Pick up your phone when a potential customer want to inquire about something! I called 12 times over the span of 3 hours and not once was the phone picked up, just endless ringing.

The employee I dealt with at the cash was rude and condescending (pretty sure it was same guy with glasses @mochaguy22 dealt with, below). There is a sale today and I tried to purchase a recently released figure. "Obviously, this isn't on sale because it's new" the cashier says. "Obviously"?! No where does it say that but as a customer, I should obviously know what's on sale. I'm very sorry I tried to buy something from you but I'm only sorry this one time because I'll never step foot in this store again.

I was really happy to find an anime store in Toronto, and I was not let down. The store has a great selection of manga, and the people are very nice there; but one thing I have to suggest is to maybe not have someone staring at you while you shop. I understand 100% that there are rules while you shop, and I respect that, but some people might feel uncomfortable when they see a person staring at them every 5 minutes down the aisle. Otherwise the store is great and I would come back.

I'm not a local, so it takes great length for me to visit this store. I knew this store has OVER PRICED items but I still visits it because of its great inventory. But for me, customer service trumps everything, which is something this store lacks. That is the only reason why I will NEVER return to this store again. I've bought over $700 worth of Hot Toys figures and one of them has a slight problem (it was missing an accessory straight from the box). Without hearing me out about my problem, the guy with the glasses started stating their 'no return' policy and just brushed me off. Dude, I'm not trying to return or exchange. Give me some options for resolving my problem. Maybe sell me the accessory or direct me to another place where I can get it. Not worth my time and money to shop at this store. People! you can get all the stuff they sell for much cheaper price somewhere else!!!

You walk into the store and are greeted politely. You are then promptly followed by the greeting employee as if you are going to steal something. Several times we were asked if we needed assistance while my tall friend gently brought down merchandise to look at. We politely declined. However, we could see the staff member staring at us from around the corner.

You are, as others have mentioned, automatically assumed to be a thief when you walk in. Save your pennies and go to Navito world instead. At least they'll treat you like a person.

Great stock. Poor customer service. Hope the owner learns to receive the criticism in these reviews with more class. Great potential but owner chooses to keep his eyes shut and ears plugged.

Was overwhelmed with selection. But store associates were very nice. There was one person, in particular, who was more than willing to help me. I didn't end up buying a kit. But I felt the visit to the store was an experience in and of itself.

It's a bit uncomfortable that they now ask you to remove your bag and leave it at the front, but that's the price we pay for living in a world where people feel the need to steal! (Therefore, I do not blame the store). It's an awesome place to browse and buy when it's not crowded (as the aisles are narrow and make it hard to walk around others). I've been coming here for over 10 years, and I've always enjoyed it. I'm glad the store has been around and will continue to do so.

Very beautiful store! Freindly and helpful staff who greet you by the entrance and tell you about their photo taking policy (do not take photos in the store). You can really see how much detail these people put in to make this store look as nice as it is! The have everything from manga and art books to figurines and accessories. The products are a bit on the pricey side but it's I think most are quite standard.

They have a great selection of products and models. You can tell they took the time to set their displays up.

That said I've come here twice and both times I've been disappointed with the customer service. The first time I was looking to make a purchase as well as admiring their displays. I was then threatened to buy or be kicked from the store which was very strange since it was fairly empty. The second time, when I was making a purchase, I was waiting for the cashier who was talking on the phone. After 10 minutes he acknowledged me and then remained on his phone will cashing me out.

I wish that I could say that the displays and presentation in this store make me want to be a regular customer, but their customer service, as well as the marked up prices make me look for other options.

I go just because my son is a huge Gundam fan and this place has the best selection. Pretty decently priced considering hard to find these things. The staff is always friendly and helpful. The people who are the security for the store laugh and joke with me when they see my son and his enthusiasm and grabbing and piling boxes on me. They've also helped me hold boxes. They understand that he is on the high functioning end of the autism spectrum and are great with their services when we come in. The owners and staff are friendly, chatty about products and things like that. The only thing besides distance for me, is accessibility for people with disabilities.

If you want to buy a defected figure that is super expensive, ainmeXtreme is the best place to go. They not only refuse to provide you with any kind of help, but also ignores you after you keep asking them for an explanation. GOOD LUCK AND HAVE GREAT FUN WASTING YOUR MONEY AT ANIMEXTREME!

Great selection of import items, that's where it ends. The items are overpriced by two, three times the actual price! I understand the import fees and Canadian dollar being crap but this is just unacceptable! They have people posing as "shoppers" and just monitor you from corridor to corridor. And the guy that's always there..O my goodness.. This person.. Don't know his name but I'm sure past or present visitors know who I'm talking about and people wanting to go will know who I'm talking about, he has some serious attitude, it literally looks like he's going to faint or something with the looks, body language he emits, so exhausting, If they told him to go home and stay there, going to anime extreme wouldn't be a disappointment! His attitude rubs off into other employees as well, what a shame! Banking on the fact that the store is basically the only one of its kind in the city so he feels like he can treat people however he feels like it, 2 stars for store stock -3 stars for his waste of human space.

Great place, lots of imported toys, model kits, and collectibles, albeit a bit pricey; I suppose it comes with the territory of import costs.

My main problem is the owner, the guy patrols the isles and staring at people like everyone is about to steal something. Its very uncomfortable, and makes for an awkward browsing and\or buying experience.

The shop itself is really great and it has changed a lot during the years. They sell a large amount of anime goods and a very wide variety now. I enjoy shopping in there personally, except when I have to deal with the costumer service. Actually, that too, varies. Sometimes, you will have to deal with a rude, snobby person, but other times you might end up talking to someone who is pretty decent.
