If you only want a room to sleep comfortably and calm during few days it is a good option.
visited Toronto in August to see family and out of the other low-cost motels and hotels I have stayed at downtown, this hostel was my favorite! The rooms were very clean, the beds cozy, it was in a safe area and the owner was very kind. He even gave me a room with a private bathroom with no extra charge (I originally booked the room with the shared bathroom). There is a kitchen area where you can use the refrigerator and microwave and there is also a table with chairs ; you have to clean up after yourself however. There was a hairdryer and soap dispenser in the bathroom and a TV in my room with a nice selection of channels. my room was in the basement and while there was some noise from rooms next to me and upstairs, it did not bother me. There are also books and computers for you to use upstairs, free wifi and a shuttle service to go to niagara falls I believe every day. I will definitely stay here again if I can when I return to Toronto.
It's a small building crammed full of little rooms. There is a common kitchen area and 2 shared computers. Other that that it would be important to note the lack of following amenities / comfort: no desk, no balcony in rooms. No coffee, fridge, locker, shampoo present in rooms. Would only fit singles looking to crash for the night. Avoid this place if you have kids.
It was good place and price, but You CAN NOT USE VISA and MASTER card. (If its a Canadian or American card it should be fine)
Good location. Close to subway, market, Fast Foods and coffee shop. Clean room and restrooms. Reception service could be improved.
The location is good as well as the rooms. Even the shared bathroom is not a big deal as everyone here is respectful of others. Staff is very nice and helpful and air conditioning is exceptional. Wi-Fi is provided and strong. They also supply towels and they have cups and plates and stuff that are available but you have to clean up for yourself
This was our first hostel stay. We choose All Days Hostel because of the price ($70USD) and location. We were not disappointed--we were actually pleasantly surprised. The rooms were clean and the location was great--walking distance to stores, restaurants, and public transportation. Was offered an upgrade with personal restroom for additional $15CD/night. We took it and were happy with it. The other room did not have a private bathroom, but our son did not mind using the shared bathroom (single user). We would stay here again.
Terrible hostel. Along with intermittent and slow WiFi there were bed bugs in our room my wife got bitten all over. We had a room on the top floor with skylights but no blinds or curtains so it was never dark at night. Then they began to repair the skylight and forced us to move to a smaller room with no offer of even a partial refund. We were so fed up we checked out early Do not stay here.
Echoing reviews many others who have had nothing but negative things to say about All Days Hostel, I too wish I could give this hostel 0 stars.
False advertising is an understatement.
According to All Days' page on Hostel World, we were suppose to be positioned in a private room with our own bathroom. These do not exist in this building. Instead, there are community washrooms/bathrooms on each floor; accessible to anyone staying in the entire building. We would have been fine with sharing a bathroom if 1) we had known this would be the arrangement ahead of time and 2) the bathrooms were actually clean. At any given time, there were various types of hair all over the shower floor, the shower curtain was filthy (various stains and black marks on the inside), and the shower head has probably never been cleaned (lots of pink bacterial build up).
From the moment we walked into the hostel, every staff member we encountered was rude and all too eager to push off our concerns.
After waking up with bed bug bites, which are quite distinctive, all down one side of my body - I made a complaint to the receptionist who started yelling at me that there were no bed bugs because he has worked here for 6 years. I then spoke to the manager, via phone, who neither further investigated the matter nor offered to move us into another room. We independently searched the bed and there were old stains and drops of blood on the mattress and pillow as well. The manager was dismissive and said we were more than welcome to go somewhere else for the night, but we would not be moved to another room, the bed would not be cleaned, and we would not get refunded for the inconvenience.
Ultimately, the customer service is non-existent, the hostel is dirty, and it is clear this hostel is all about making money at the expense of their customers' comfort and health.
I wish I could give this hostel no stars. The staff is incredibly rude and insensitive. The hotel is dirty with dust, hair, and dirt throughout the room as well as bathrooms. There is rarely ever anyone down at the desk for service. We had no washcloths and I could not get new towels due to lack of service. The beds have bed bugs that they refuse to address. They would not switch rooms or give us a refund. DO NOT waste your money staying at this hostel!
Hostel a few steps to sherbourne station. Room is nice and tide, close to market and other services, restrooms and kitchen in good condition. Affordable price for a good visit to Toronto. Highly recommended .
Check in was quick and simple, and the room was clean and a good size. The building just has a bit of a weird smell. It get better when you open the Windows and let fresh air into your room. But other than that, definately somewhere to consider of your in need of a quick and decently priced place to stay fir a night or two.
