Loved my visit to 541 yesterday. The staff were respectful and kind, fellow patrons were cheery and chatty - there is a great community atmosphere. Great coffee and treats, and the food looked amazing.

Love 541’s button trading system so those in need can have a healthy and delicious meal. Encourage everyone to stop in and buy some buttons if they can.

I went to this cute corner in the city with a girl a year ago or so and I am amazed of how great and nutritious and fabulous the food tasted . Also how well the people running the daily operations and all employees and volunteers, you guys and gals are top notch . Please stay right where you are for a long time 541 is so much needed . Great coffee and food (especially the GF/VG options). Making it even better is the fact that you can purchase buttons for $1 each and put them in a jar, when people need an extra $1 or $2 or if they are down on their luck and need a meal, the buttons can be used to pay.

What a great way to allow people to get what they need and for others to help our fellow travellers discreetly.

What a great place to fill up on great food, drink and humanity.

Nice place to have a conversation with a friend. Good eats and good coffee and tea choices. Helping folks out also works using the button system but also employing youth and marginalized.

Some tables have electrical outlets. Wheelchair accessible non-gendered washrooms are also wheelchair accessible.

Large communal tables, cafe tables, or window counter bar seating. You choose your favoured positions in the large window south facing sunny space.

I have never loved going anywhere as much as I love going to 541! The people, the food, all they do.. from using the freshest local ingredients, having a button jar, having knitwear to keep people warm in the winter, EVERYTHING! There need to be more shops like this one, the world needs this kind of love and happiness! Not a single bad thing to say about them❤️

The food is really really good! The staff and service is great. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming. And the button program is the nicest idea I have seen in a long time! Couldn't ask for more out of a breakfast/lunch based diner! I will definitely be back the next time I'm in town :)

food was A++ . deliciouspresented beautifullyso fresh and homemade.

Best chili ive ever had and the jalepeno grilled cheese was to die for. I couldnt believe how good EVERYTHING was! Staff was super friendly..the building itself was gorgous to look at.the prices were unbelievable it was easy to match the food bill with buttons with all the money saved!!!! Such a wonderful way to give back and help the less fortunate.

But the food my god.. master chef approved!!!! Well done 541. I will be back soon!

A great, stylish community place where people of all backgrounds feel welcomed. The food and espresso are outstanding. It makes me feel European. Very hygge, very gezellig !!! Donate a button to help someone who has mot had the advantages that you have had. Then sit with them at the communal tables and enjoy the food and atmosphere.
