Very good location . Near to the centre and also near to the north train station. Breakfast is really nice (try the pancakes with maple syrup and bacon) yummy! :) rooms are very big and comfortable. I liked that the toilet is separated from the bathroom. All in all it a good choice to discover Brussels.

Good location, but aside from the lobby, the hotel is quite shabby and the rooms are old, with no views at all. It is definitely not a 4 star standard. We had problems with our shower, which had an old dirty shower curtain and wouldn't turn off. The breakfast wasn't of a high standard, which was disappointing given its high price, and the bar in the hotel isn't open on Sundays. We had a problem when it came to check out; the staff at reception were saying we hadn't paid, when we had. We gave in documentation when we arrived which showed that we had paid, but they misplaced it. The manager who came to sort it was extremely rude, and the situation was terribly handled. We wanted to some time in Brussels on our last morning, and this delayed us. It was a very bad note to leave on. Brussels has many hotels of a higher standard and a similar price, so I would recommend these over the Marivaux.

Very, very nice location and BED (especially after weeks of camping). The staff is also friendly and helpful. However, the door to our shower wouldn't close which made our bathroom flood every time we took a shower. Also, don't go if you are planning to use the fitness room. The so called 'gym' is a very big no no. 1 of the 3 cardio machines was broken, no weights or mats. We booked this hotel because of the fitness room but ended up without training

Great place, clean and staff was friendly! Pretty close to downtown and public transportation. Parking is 20 per night and very easy. Breakfast has a great selection and our room which was an inside window was soo quiet!!

Very nice hotel and so close to the historical centre. Just the gym is very small but for the rest it is fine.

Nice hotel but I did not see the 4 stars, it is more like a 3 stars hotel. The staff was really friendly so no problem there, food for breakfast was really good, good quality of products and also a lot of variety. The problem was that the room was not very clean; a lot of dust and also the bathroom had the mirror dirty.

The hotel is OK, but it seriously needs some renovation. The lift is old and soooo slow. The room is small. At our first day there, there is no hot water in our room. And the cold water sometimes turns yellow/brown for several seconds The breakfast is is not very good

We stayed for a weekend at the Marivaux and where in general quite disappointed. First we reserved a double, but the bed was with 2 separate badly joined mattresses (not very convenient for a loving couple), then isolation from street noise isn't very good. Fortunately there is some roadwork bloquing the street an therefore not much traffic at night. Then shower water flow very weak. Finally in the morning we woke up with horrible sink smell in the bathroom. On the positive side I can say staff is nice and helpful and breakfast was very good with tons of choice, but overall I wouldn't spend a second night there, and wouldn't anyhow recommend it.

Good location BUT construction starts next door before 7am, drilling and banging into the wall. The room is huge BUT lighting is so dark you can't see and there is nowhere to put anything, not a single shelf in the bathroom! Breakfast Ok, BUT worst coffee ever.
