Only stayed one night on the way back from a meeting in Genk. You really notice the difference between a 5 star hotel and a 4 star one. Sofitel Brussels Europe is a nice elegant hotel with comfortable beds and warm inviting ambience. I was able to have a very good rest. The location is out of the central area, but not too far. It can be a positive as it is nice and quiet in the evening. Ample restaurant choices across the road.

Very pleasantly surprised, from front desk, to Hermes in the bathroom. The interesting fruits at breakfast, the quality of service, even when under extreme pressure and the welcome made the stay feel comforting. Well done.

Dead massive fly on the floor when we walked in to the room, alive bugs of 2 cm walking on the curtains. Horrible experience. When we reported it to the reception - receptionist answer - we cannot do anything about it, there are everywhere in Budapest. Well, we left it immediately and checked in to Four Seasons - there were no bugs dead or alive in their property. We will never stay in Sofitel Budapest again. As a Platinum SPG and holder of Centurion Amex, we have travelled the entire world including many exotic countries and have never experienced anything like that in any 5 star hotels. MD of this hotel should get fired.

Great staff. Really comfortable rooms. Ours overlooking Place Jourdan was delightful. A market on Sunday is remarkable with a smaller one on Saturday, both right outside the hotel entrance. Adjoins Parc Leopold with a small pond with walkway, benches, swans, and ducks. Eateries, bars, and shops around square with hours that vary.
Parking is pricey at 32euros per day. But you'd be a bit crazy to drive in Brussels anyway.response / report this review -

Excellent quality hotel located in the Jourdan district. We were exceptionally impressed with our stay - the rooms were large and spacious, and all of the furnishings were top quality. We especially appreciated the European Union flag on the shower door. The beds were so comfy, and we loved the addition of robes, slippers, tea, coffee and the turn down service. It's places like the Sofitel that make trips away from home feel even better than home!

Overall very pleasant stay but some facilities in the public area are dated. The steam room needs a good scrub because there are mould between tiles.

Upon arrival a valet parked my car while I checked in. Turned out I had made a mistake with booking (booked for a week later) but this was resolved elegantly and efficiently. One can see a service culture at work here!
A large terrace next to the elevators on the 7th floor offers an exceptional view of the city. The room was absolutely stunning with ample room to move in, lots of storage to hang ones clothes and a decent desk fr working, Lighting throughout the room are efficient and can be turned down for more atmosphere. The bed is absolutely gorgeous. The bathroom is fully equipped and has both anti-fog mirror as well as lit shaving mirror (nice!). Coffee and tea facilities are available.
Breakfast was as complete as one could wish for with ample choice of warm and cold offerings including a few wonderful French cheeses and small glasses with various smoothies. Excellent coffee was served to order and newspapers were available in a wide selection of languages.
Checkout was friendly and fast and staff offered to take my luggage down to my car - fantastic service and very much appreciated indeed. Another example of great service.
I had a meeting around the corner at an EU institution but I chose to come back to the hotel for lunch as I saw the steak tartare on the room menu - one of the best I've ever had and quite reasonably priced!
Last mention to the staff, literally every single person I interacted from concierge to waitress in the restaurant with was helpful, friendly without being slavish, and very service minded. The hotel management should be extremely proud of its team.
This hotel certainly makes it to the top of my list whenever I have interactions with EU institutes.response / report this review -

As usual in Sofitel I have the pleasure to feel the quietness, to eat in excellent restaurant.
In the Sofitel Europe, I enjoyed the decoration with comics. For a passionate of Comics, it was the perfect welcome! You definitely feel in Belgium, the leading country in comics.response / report this review -

The staff here was wonderful and very accommodating. My room was very comfortable and I loved the nightly turn down service, complete with a chocolate on my pillow. Awesome location, with great places to eat or grab a beer in the small square outside.response / report this review -

Welcoming and nice staff, beautiful surroundings, free water, fridge, good beds, quiet. Only minus: When you switch the light on in the bathroom at night, the WHOLE ROOM is enlightened due to the glass wall. Nice, but not practical.

All and all a perfect experience from reservation to check out. Easy to access, located in the charming Place Jourdan, just around the corner from Parc Léopold. You are received by professional and very helpful staff and always with a smile. Room was impeccable and so were the other spaces: the large entrance hall, the breakfast room and so on.
It is a reasonably priced hotel for an exceptional service and this does make a difference. Five stars plus!response / report this review -

Very comfortable hotel with a style. It's very central close to the European union institutions and at the same time it's in the heart of Place Jourdan, overlooking a nice park. I loved its bar as well.

I don't know, but I expected more for a 5 star hotel. Don't get me wrong, it's a nice hotel but not a 5 star hotel. I'd say around a 4 star.
The hotel is clean and smells lovely in the foyer and rooms.
The room has a Bose player and a Philips flat screen TV. You even have a speaker in the ceiling that plays what you hear on the TV in the bathroom. Kinda cool!
The bed is very comfortable.
Internet is free your first 24 hrs and after that you have to pay 24.00€ 1 day 3 sessions. I think that's ridiculous.
Hotel parking is 20.00€ per day. On street parking is 3.00€ every 2 hours.
If it's not included with your booking, breakfast in the hotel is 28.00€ per person. CRAZY!response / report this review
