Grrat staff. Terry was a great receptionist. So professional and kind. Really helped me out.
today my dad was seen by the optometrist her name is mary.
after checking him she said he needs new driving glasses but she asked where we got his reading glasses i told her from northlans she said ok go get his driving glassas from there i told her give me a script for them she said go to them they will give you..i said but how we dont have the right measurement she said just go to them and they will give it!!
but how and why does he have to go through all these tests again?
we left without a script aint i so stupid?
Although I was really pleased with the service provided by medical staff, they were extremely professional, I cannot share the same thoughts about reception staff. They need to be retrained to achieve the level of professionalism that is required in their dealings with customers. After I had already made a complaint I had to ring again today to speak to a staff member who was not available but I was confronted by a rude, most abrupt receptionist. Its just a shame that admin staff at reception have made me hesitant to ever come back again. Such a shame because Dr Tan and the orthoptists were fantastic.
A big bucket to VIC. My partner turned away because she hadn't her Coronavirus test results - and they didn't have a copy of a referral and made no attempt to contact the referring doctor. Told to make another appointment. Her condition can not wait for this arrogant uncaring organisation to lift it's game. Other people waiting outside in the hot sun. Excreble service. Lost our business!!
I am so disappointed with the service at this clinic, rude, un-professional and have no idea about customer services . Talking to patients from their high chair and looking down at people as if the are insects. Medical services are known for their compassionate and understanding but not in this clinic.
Smiles go very far, try it , it cost you nothing. If you are treating people with no courtesy, and respect, I wonder why people still come!
Not sure why all the complaints about the wait time. I was told to allow 2 hours when I made my appointment, and I've been there twice and both times was given a heads up about the wait.
They don't answer the phone
Would not recommend going there. I saw a Dr Raj who spent 2 minutes looking at my eyes and immediately recommended injections to both of my eyes. Each time I attended for a review, I was put straight through for an injection without even having a consultation with Dr Raj. She was eager to give me lots of injections and never checked or examined my eyes again, even after numerous injections. I have since gone to another eye specialist who could not understand why I needed injections in the first place. She should be investigated by the authorities. Not sure about the other doctors working there but if they all operate under the same motivation, prioritizing profit over patient needs, then I would caution against going there.
The receptionist here needs some sensitivity training, and potentially revisit basic patient ethics.
The wait to see the gp is unbelievable the appointment system needs to be overhauledwhy does my time in the waiting room need to be so long.
The receptionist must be asked this question numerous times per day. Although I was informed that my apppintment would take one to one and a half hours, I assumed that would be because I was being assessed not sitting around. My advice would be to find an optometrist who will value your time as well as his.
Dreadful experience.Came to this clinic with a severe viral infection in one eye.Was put on incorrect treatment. With my eye rapidly getting worse,I made repeated visits to this clinic, pleading for help.I saw several different doctors, none of them resolved my problem.I was actually told not to keep coming back, and to be 'patient' with the treatment. The last doctor I saw was also very arrogant towards me.I decided to go elsewhere, and I'm so glad I did.I just regret that I did not do that much sooner.I ended up being sent urgently to a corneal specialist. There,I was given the correct treatment, and the condition mostly resolved, although I have been left with damage to the eye, which looks like it will be permanent, having now been this way for over 18 months.Never put something so precious as your eyesight into the hands of Vision Eye Institute in Coburg. I trusted them, and lived to regret it.One star is generous, forced to leave a star to post this review.
The medical staff are fantastic professionals who spare no effort to tune up or down to the level of the patient, in order to clearly explain medical problems, together with highlighting all risks and concerns in any required surgery. Receptionists are superb. However, I have two practical concerns:
(1) The examining procedure should be streamlined in a manner that would minimise waiting time. Patients could report on the exact time of their appointment but wait for hours before the first step. This time should be close to zero. The first step is followed by a number of other steps. The length of time for each step is foreknown. Therefore, the waiting time between them should be minimised. All in all, the time between walking in for a check and walking out should not exceed a couple of hours.
(2) you are in the Coburg area, where most patients are on limited income. Professionals should not charge more than the reasonable Medicare fees for their valuable services. A breakdown of charges tells me otherwise, even though the Institute's overheads might be eating a bit into the fees of professionals.
One of the doctor i saw was more concerned about doing it quicker than answering my queries paid $170 for 5 min consultation.would not recommend.
Lovely, efficient, professional staff. The thing I don't get is the time the appointment takes. I don't understand why it should take three hours, even with the various tests. For an elderly person, in particular, this is an exhaustive process.
In a word, terrible.
Reception staff are friendly and helpful, but the waiting times are shocking - if you turn up 2 hours late for your appointment, you will still have some waiting to do.
$90 OCT scan was performed before I saw the specialist, who then had to be reminded to check the results. Specialist recommended laser therapy off the bat, but was unable to justify this decision, or give me risks of surveillance vs treatment.
