Drop off was incredibly easy today. Colin even gave us a ride to the grocery store saving us a 15 minute walk in the 42 degree heat! (that's 107 F for my fellow Americans)

Very nice people. Return was easy and clean. Helpful and informative. After our drive from cairns, the last thing you want is a headache with dealing with issues on returning the hired car. By the way. Any time you travel the country. 100% suggest to take a camper van. That was so much fun and easy. These vans were in good condition and clean. The people are helpful and it’s just so much better all around. You never have to look for hotels when you drive one around.

Great experience renting from these guys, van was spot on (easily best value for money we've found) and the staff were excellent and massively helpful both when we picked up and dropped it back again. Would definitely recommend.

Van (an older chubby model) was in great condition and really good value. Staff at the Melbourne office are really friendly and helpful, especially the bloke with the beard. Will definitely use them again :)

We were attended at the pick up by a very helpful lady that showed us our new Chubby van and carefully explained everything we needed to know about it. We were glad our model was one of the new ones they have, very very comfortable!
Had an amazing 2 weeks road trip with this van. It features everything you need for cooking, bed sheets, water and power, and never had a problem with it.
Sad to drop it off eventually. Thanks TAB , well done!

Travellers Autobarn was super simple and straightforward to deal with. We own our own VW Transporter kitted out and the Kuga was certainly an upgrade. Clean and tidy van with all of the necessary elements, as well as a few luxuries like running water and power-points. Sunshine Coast - Melbourne over 5 weeks, such an epic journey supported by the wheels of Travellers Autobarn.

We have hired a Ford station wagon for our one month East Coast trip and drove 5,000 km without any issues at all! The car was in good condition, clean and equipped with all necessities, like portable stove, chairs, table, tent. We were even given the foam mats when we said we had nothing to put under our sleeping bags (linen and covers are not provided).
At the end of our trip in Melbourne, we had teary eyes when we had to give it back, since this car became our transport, shelter and home for the past 30 days and we were sad to let it go. The guy at the drop-off point was very friendly and did everything quick. We checked the car together and there were no issues with inspection. I think that Travellers Autobarn offers good value for money and I am really happy we went with them, as it made our trip in Australia a great experience we will never forget.

Our first experience with Travellers Autobarn and we will be back. Staff members super friendly and very informative and helpful to us newbies. A great family trip in a Toyota HiAce campervan which was reliable and clean. Highly recommended.

Let me first start nicely. The staff in all the establishments are very nice. All the staff in Cairns, Brisbane and Melbourne seem to have fun doing their job and that is very nice to see.

Our campervan was nice. Nothing special, but good and it fulfilled our needs. So far, no complaints. Now comes the tricky part.

During our travels, we were run into by another car while waiting in front of a traffic circle. We handled all the details, filled out the forms with the other party and it was clear that there was nothing we could do it about it. Then we informed the office and they asked us to come in and check the damage to the vehicle (luckely it was just a bump on the front bumper and we had no further problems with it driving for 2 weeks afterwards). Because we had the accident, they needed to take out 2500 dollars of my credit card for the possible repairs and i was told that i would get back the money as soon as we handed in the car and they could estimate the costs of the repairs (I would get back the 2500 dollars minus the costs of the repairs). In brisbane and Melbourne they told me that this could take a couple of weeks, which was fortunate because we continued travelling after Australia and i sort of cannot miss 2500 dollars all the time.

After handing in the car and not hearing a thing after a week, i sent an email to ask about the status of my case. I did not get a response. A week later i decided to call and what i heard was a total opposite of what the friendly staff of brisbane and Melbourne told me. It could take between 6 months and a couple of years before i get my money back, depending on the insurance of the other party. When i asked what the little bump on the front bumper costed they told me it was 1200 dollars, which seems a lot. When i asked If they could give back the other 1300 dollars, they told me it wasnt possible because i agreed on the terms and only the full 2500 will be paid back once the case with insurance is Solved.

Not only do i find it very frustating that the company just hides behind their rules and terms, without giving a . about your situation. It is also not normal in my opinion that the staff of the establisment tell me a totally different story. It looks like that a) they just dont know how the procedure works (which is fine, but dont say anything about it then) or b) they just say want you want to hear.

So in my opinion: If everything goes right during your travel, probably no problem at all. But If your worried that something might not go according to plan, I would advice you to not take the risk and to stay away as far you can from Travellers Autobarn.

Jesus! We nearly could have driven home!
Thats what we were thinking, when we returned our beloved car to Travellers Autobarn. We drove nearly 12.000k with our car without any big problems.
Whenever we kissed a pole or a kangaroo, the service was great and we never needed to worry about our insurance.

We decided to travel down the Westcoast and Southcoast of Australia with a nice big Ford Falcon and started in Darwin. The guy in the office gave us a good introduction. It was possible for us to start our awesome Road trip immedialtely because of the great service. With a full tank, a full boot, three really looking forward and excited girls and a good knowlegde about the car we finally could start our big adventure.

We drove 11.726 km without any problems and saw amazing places all over Australia!

We would definitely do it again and would hire a car or maybe a caravan by Travellers Autobarn!

We had an amazing experience with the Chubby Campervan along the Great Ocean Road in Victoria, Australia. Having previously road tripped in campervans in Hawaii, we were looking for the perfect vehicle for our 5 night camping trip along the GOR and are so glad we found this company. Friendly and helpful customer service, and the van came with everything we could have needed for our trip, down to the smallest details like a cooler (esky), outdoor dining table, LED lights, an MP3 hookup, utensils, towels and more. Super convenient, great value for the price, and the ideal size for a couple - would definitely rent one again (and plan to), and highly recommend for touring around Australia!

We hired our campervan from Brisbane, drove 11,500km in 40 days across the Nullabor and back to Melbourne. There were 2 adults and 2 children the entire trip. The campervan was great, no problems, easy to drive and room enough for the 4 of us. The service from both Brisbane and Melbourne was excellent, fast, proficient, friendly and helped explain everything. We would recommend them to anyone and use them again in future trips.
