Deb from hertz was amazing to deal with, i was having trouble with my card however Deb was very helpful and assisted with me being able to secure the deposit an alternate way. Incredibly helpful and very professional.

Andrea was so helpful and friendly. She took all my stress away and I felt after the check in so happy. The car was huge and was brand new. Thanks Hertz for the customer service, definitely see you soon again!

Queues are efficiently managed here, and the processes to getting a car through to returning the car, is very straightforward for any tourists or locals alike. The location is also very convenient, being on Flinders Main Street, which is close to most large hotels here in Melbourne.

WORST EFING COMPANY, i have ever delt with in my life. pack of liers very miss leading and they think they own your credit card and take money as the please. Was recommended to use them by uber another pack of scammers save your self the trouble and do not drive for them unless you enjoy making $5 an hour after paying taxes

Very poor customer service. ..and they provide car which already have dirty smoke smell and when we going to return car they blaiming that have smoke smell and have to pay $150 for steam cleaning. ..so this is how they run business and get paid salary. And also no responsible if by mistake if we forget any items in car like GPS or handsfreethis is what I had an experience and same also reviewed on Facebook page reviews as wellvery poor service.

Booked a car on the website, when I got there they told me that because my address is in Victoria I needed proof of my address. I didn't proof on me because it didn't say anything on the web, so I had to put $1000 deposit. All because I had a Victorian address, but we are in Victoria?!

Waited for 1.5 hours for the car we booked 4 months in advance. On finally getting the car after 4 complaints, it was dirty and filthy with takeaway wrappers in the back seat. I took pictures and sent complaint to Hertz, but they couldn't be bothered to even reply to my email. Image you see here is taken in the the car collection bay. We couldn't wait for another car as we were late for the wedding we were attending. Hertz, if you won't respond to my email, this is what will happen.

4 of us were looking for weekend hire to check out the great ocean road and the 12 apostles. Hertz was the only company we found which wasn't booked out and Pete was super friendly and helpful - even offered us a free upgrade to a more spacious car! 11/10 would come again

This was one of the easiest and smoothest rental car experiences I have ever had. I waited all of 10 seconds in line when picking up the car. Then I was told that I was getting a free upgrade for a reason which I forget. The woman was very helpful and even provided me with a map of the Great Ocean Road and some tips for driving back.
When I returned the car the next day I was just under an hour late but the guy who closed out my rental told me he would waive the charge for a whole extra day since I was only an hour late which was very nice of him. (I wouldn't bank on that happening every time.)
All in all, everyone I dealt with was courteous and helpful and if I have to rent a car again in Melbourne, this will be the first place I look.response / report this review -

Absolute joke of a rental company. 45 minutes to drop off the car. Filled up the tank at 7/11 around the corner and the idiots said the tank was at least 5L under full. Clicked the bowser 5 times after it stopped just to make sure it was full and showed them the receipt. Then old mate drives the car back there, gets under a litre in it and wants to charge $3.50 for it even though they're the idiots that used it. Never hiring from any Hertz again. Biggest pack of clowns
