Comfortable, clean and spacious room with a balcony and kitchen space. Laid out like a studio apartment. Pool and spa space pretty great. I‘d come back to stay again.

I'd have to agree with a lot of other reviewers have said: this place is a little bit dated. Some of the furnishings seem to have come straight out of the late 1990s (the lamps and TVs for example). However, that perhaps adds to the comfort and homeliness of the rooms. It just feels like a second home. The wifi is great (really, it is!), the bathrooms are enormous, I have a view of the CBD, there were even ice-cubes made up in the freezer! I travel here business regularly, and I think The York is where I'd like to stay whenever I'm in Sydney.

Fabulous place. I give it 5 stars not because it’s 5 Star accommodation, but because for the money I paid it deserves this rating. I booked an unfurnished studio room with a balcony. Easily the biggest room in Sydney for this price (I had a really low budget and wanted a balcony). Yes it’s old and a bit run down. But it’s clean and comfortable with full kitchen and separate bath /shower. So much room. I love it and will definitely be back.

Quite a nice hotel. You can tell it was once a top tier hotel but it has now aged a little bit. Still spacious and luxurious. I enjoyed my stay.

Slap bang where you need to be in this lovely city, uber is a must and there are plenty about. Room itself was brilliant, spacious and had everything you need to make a comfortable stay,front desk staff polite and very attentive. Would definitely use again if we come back to Sydney.

Good location and super friendly staff. The whole building is in desperate need of a facelift though. The rooms, while large, are suffering from years of neglect. Very noisy as there's little to no sound proofing inside the building or from the outside. Anyone on the levels above using their taps/toilet/shower makes the water pipes scream in your own room.

Great service from some at reception and unhelpful service from others. Problems with bathroom taps sink and shower but also clean so that is something.

Very nice staff, The manager at the time upgraded us, I believe her name was Janice. The view was amazing for the price I enjoyed how they decided to create a more liveable experience with the flat layout.
