Avoid this place until the building works are finished, unless you like dust and early morning alarm calls from drills!! Not happy at all to find that I am paying 200 dollars a night for a room in a hotel that should be closed for refurbishment.

Booked in and not told of the building works taken place whilst we would be there. Was very noisy started at 7am and went all day. The lift was out of action once and we had to use the workers lift and walk through a construction sight - would not happen in Melbourne due to OH&S regulations. As good as NO room service, rubbish not emptied, we ran out of toilet paper and had to chase the service people to get another roll. The room was not vacuum once in the 5 days of our stay - hopeless. The free wifi they advertised is free for a short time period only after that you have to pay if you want to use it. I would not recommend this to anyone to stay whilst the renovations is going on, it put a big downer on our holiday.

Lift broke down, had to use secondary lift, which required access through major renovation works. Works started at 8am and woke to the noise of a hammer drill. Good location otherwise

Having booking through a third party site we were unaware of the construction taking place (since July 2016). The place is essentially a building site with rooms. We stayed in a room next to the elevators (I have stayed in a lot of hotels and NEVER seen rooms this close to the elevator. And for good reason! They are about 2 steps from our door.) Not only do we hear the sound of the lift "ping" when the doors open, but also the conversations people have while waiting.

The rooms themselves arent too bad. A little smaller than the pictures present but fine, except for the rattling airconditioner. Also there is a kitchenette (sink, crockery etc) but the microwave comes with a warning. If for some reason it smokes, you will be charged $1500 if it sets the fire alarms off.

Other than that it is central to a lot of things. Train stations very close by, shopping within walking distance..

I wouldnt not stay here again though, nor recommend to anyone unless youre looking for a cheap, short stay.

Tiny rooms. Not very accommodating. Staff were friendly but not helpful. had to go to reception continuously. Had booked months in advance but room wasn't ready for us. Eg 3 people wanting 3 good beds but were given a double bed and sofa bed with no linen or pillows or towels. No room service. Expensive. expected better especially for Sydney.

Staff were helpful and polite - received a cup of popcorn on checkin, and the air conditioning was already switched on in my room, making it an oasis of cool dryness on a hot muggy Sydney day.

Affordable clearly described the place. The breakfast across the street was great. Lift was a bit clunky.

Good location near the heart of Sydney. Reasonable prices and each room has a small kitchen which is very convenient. Mid way between Martin Place and St James underground station, so it's easy to get to (st James is on the City Circle line, which is great for tourists). There's a convenience store 3 doors away, too.
