It’s the absolute Shambles. Hundreds of sick Children waiting to see a Dr in the emergency unit for hours on end and yet the Government prefers to spend 122M of a Same Sex Marriage Vote to cater for the Anomolies of society rather than give funding to Hospitals like this one to provide extra support to the Children of this Country. It’s completely outrageous.

Very good facility.. kids friendly ample of underground parking, 2 hours cost $18, have your concession card handy and contact security office for concessional parking.. long waits to see the doctors are understandable..

Amazing building and facilities. Amazing work with children and families. For outpatient visits there is free 2 hour parking within close walking distance.

Going to a children's hospital isn't a must see place but if and when the time comes that you need to be at a hospital for your child this place is great. Most of not all staff are helpful and considerate. There is open space that is inspiring and uplifting in the worst of circumstances. This is one reason to call Australia the lucky country.

Excellent service by the whole Ed team. First time my 1yr old had been sick I was very stressed all the staff were lovely they advised us ahead of time we would most likely need tests done to rule out all possibilities. It was such a busy night (1st of July) but I never felt like we were not being looked after.
We jumped between 3 wards during our 2 day stay and I don't have 1 complaint.response / report this review -

Terrible service, my son was left unattended in a cubicle. The nurse encouraged me to have a coffee. When I returned after 5 minutes. My son was crying. Dirty tissues all over the floor in his bed , his eye lids were red . He complained of dry eyes. He felt scared and was emotional. I approached 3 staff who ignored my request to clean up his room nor to get a cleaner. I had to call the after hours co ordinator. She cleaned the room and disinfected it. My son was still scared and required quite a bit of reassurance to return to his cubicle in ED, he was cold, tired and hungry. One staff pushed for discharge but unfortunately when our lift home arrived , there were extensive delays. My husband took my son home whist I awaited scripts. Further extensive delays lead to me needing to leave the hospital, without scripts, without a plan put in place. The staff rely heavily on parents to provide care for their children in the hospital. All the above after a trip there by ambulance. Never will attend again.
They obviously have put all the donations in for the face lift of the hospital. Hopefully no body else goes through this experience at any time they present there. I give this hospital zero stars ..
There's nothing like being in our beautiful comfortable home with our loved ones.
Royal children's hospital is a dump and will always be.
I hold this hospital liable if my sons health deteriorates!!!!response / report this review -

Talented, friendly staff. Beautiful, immense facilities. This place is so much more than a kids hospital. Sick kids can have a bit of fun while there here making the burden that little bit less for them. Heaps of stuff to help parents, even a day care center. Plus there is meerkats. Who doesn't like meerkats?

I've been a patient of the hospital for over ten years now because of my Hemophilia. The doctor's are so kind and knowledgable, the Nurses are caring and understanding to every child & the outpatient program is incredible for patients who aren't close to the hospital. Would strongly recommend to anyone who has a sick kid.

This hospital is a heaven on earth. It is no doubt the best facility for children in Australia and one of the best in the world. Angels work here.
