I have been to Dish before and loved it, which is why I took one of my best (male) friends there for dinner last week. We arrived and initially the service was good, although we were both taken aback that although I made the booking they immediately handed him the wine list as though a woman wouldn't or couldn't choose. Then I went to use the bathroom, I asked where it was and was given directions and heard the wait staff laughing very loudly immediately afterwards. I presumed they must have had a joke about something else.. I came back to the table and my friend told me he heard them laughing and talking about us, saying they bet we were on a tinder date, that I was sober but he was drunk and it would be fun to watch. This put a real pall on the dinner although the food was excellent. Later, a waitress laughed when my friend, who is French, didn't fully understand a question that was asked and I translated for him. They ruined what was supposed to be a lovely night and I won't spend another dollar there.

This is my go to hotel for Melbourne get away.. Just on the edge of the city. I love the 10minute walk across the bridge to Flinders Street.

Always clean, fresh and the staff are always very friendly.

Beautiful romantic place. Lovely rooms. Gr8 bar fridge in room with good drinks. Champagne was gr8. Room service was good. Friendly service.

Really enjoy staying here. Staff are always friendly and helpful. My only annoyance would be the light switches, they are harder than necessary to operate. Can't we just stick to on and off?

I attended a work function in one of their ballrooms, and it was great. Service was spot on, very attentive and helpful. Food was ok, but that's what you get at most functions. I'd recommend it to anyone.

I was only visiting other who were staying, so can't give a comprehensive assessment. The room was comfortable, well laid-out, & nicely fitted. The room overlooked the college & the City skyline could be seen over the Shrine of Remembrance. My friends assured me the bed was comfortable and they were provided with a sumptuous breakfast in tje morning.

My wife and I stayed on Saturday 3rd June. We loved it! The hotel staff made our stay so perfect. Early check in was a wonderful surprise, as was the breakfast, free bottle of wine on arrival and two drinks vouchers - not to mention the upgrade to balcony room. Everything about this hotel was spot on! So nice to be treated well.

Stayed here with my Fiance as we got it for a gift. Room was beautiful we didnt want to leave the room , we would of been more than happy to stay in and order room service. Close enough to the city also. Breakfast at dish was also great.

Beautifully appointed Hotel. Impressive bed, bathroom is absolutely luxurious and loved the separate study area. Very classy place. Hotel foyer is missing a vibe. Can't quite explain it but it seems to lack a bit of personality as it is extremely quiet. Great stay staff friendly however location is a little inconvenient for locality to shops and other restaurants. Would stay again though.

Comfortable boutique hotel in a good location. The team stops almost at the door made it easy to get around.

Our room was spacious and comfortable - and most importantly the king sized bed was very inviting. The sofa (which turned out to be a sofa bed) wasn't the most comfortable thing to sit on though.

One let down was the front desk staff. They seemed to lack that level of professionalism that we have experienced at other hotels. They are very friendly - we just kept getting different responses each time we were at the desk.
