We went to this place for a birthday lunch on the 6th sept 2017, my daughter and I ordered the asian beef stir fry. This was not a stir fry!!!
The meals came with large chunks of green and red capsicum and onion with lots of visible chopped garlic and grisly beef pieces floating in a soup bowl full to the very top of the bowl with brown runny liquid. I often eat stir fry and it is usually coated in a delightful sauce which clings to the veg, meat and noodles but this was disgusting and unpalatable. The girl came and asked how it was as we pushed our plates away, my daughter said it was pretty awful, she said yes it looks very watery I will let the chef know. That was the last we heard! I contacted the hotel via email on their website to give them a chance to respondnothing! Ha ..I only gave them a star as it won't post unless you give at least one star but they really don't deserve it.response / report this review -

One star given solely for the purpose of the menu pricing. Firstly it's a pub What happened to good pub grub? Usually should be able to grab a meal under $20 bucks (and a good one at that) with a beer or glass of wine thrown in Nope, that's ok, let's order anyway given the reviews on Google give this place a good wrap for it's food and price, it's got to be good.. thanks. I was in a party of four and at least one of us were happy with the meal they received. The rest of us received mediocre plates of food that left us still a little hungry as portions and quality don't ad up to the price you pay. As we were leaving we saw one of the bartenders on a break with a mountain of food on her plate. Perhaps it's the staff that are giving this a 5 star ratings for quality and quantity of the food. We felt a little robbed when we saw that on the way out.

a good quiet bar for a late-night drink, if you're prepared to put up with the raging night-club enthusiast crowd. Meals are OK-ish but nothing special, largely a chinese menu.
Pokies are a nuisance, often drawing in undesirable hookers junkies, & drug dealers into the venue. So trouble is often a given in the gaming room. Staff are very friendly but you immediatly feel sorry for them, for the scum they must be putting up with. Is practically a venue that requires security every minute of the day. I wont be taking my kids & family here for dinner. There is quite a few better options in Geelong.response / report this review -

Amazing food - the chicken parmas are the best in town. Pretty cheap for the quality, and they serve healthy-sized portions. Highly recommended.
