They take great care of special orders, especially the glutten-free pizza. They offer a wide assortment of pizzas. Staffs are friendly and price is reasonable

a friend and i ordered a Meat Lover's large pizza through Doordash recently, asked the meat to be changed to halal they ignored it and gave us bacon strips and ham on the pizza. last time we've been at the restaurant, they assured us they'd change the meat if we requested it to be halal so we paid a Large pizza that we couldn't even eat for their negligence of our request, reaaaaaaaaaaaaaally disappointed

Give it 5 years ago, these guys were top of their game, but since their online presence they have gone downhill, who really wants a half burnt margarita pizza? A lack of capacity to deal out alcoholic beverages on their part also really hurt what was once a great pizza place. Good luck for the future, I am sure it's bright.

We really enjoy it here. Staff are friendly and generally wait times for service is good as we’ve not been here when it’s been busy. Kids enjoy it as interior isn’t pretentious, so it’s more relaxing. Could gain a bit more vibe and a bit of a freshen up but all in all we keep coming back. Lamb souvlaki is always a winner!

Ordered food through Menu Log app. After an hour and a half wait we received our pizza (which was fine) as well as some wedges but the Turkish bread we ordered was very burnt (see photo) and the hummus dip was missing. After following up through the app the restaurant was willing to refund the hummus but no acknowledgement of the Turkish bread that was inedible pretty disappointing considering we were willing to show photos and simply receive credit to use at the restaurant in the future. Were regular customers but won't order again..

Wood oven pizza is ok I used to love it but they have lost the flavour in the pizza , every time I get a pizza now there’s hardly any toppings on it an I pay $45 for 2 pizzas I asked for prosciutto on my pizza an I Literally got five crumbs of prosciutto on it with maybe five pieces of Avocado very disappointing put your game back together wood oven pizza .

Update I i have received a phone call from wood oven pizza an it was a young girl she asked why I had made a bad review an I had told her why I had posted the review she then said back to me you had asked for a pizza that wasn’t on the menu..
I replied back saying if the pizza wasn’t on the menu then don’t tell customers that you can make it .. I said to her that you shouldn’t have sent out the pizza the way it was made, with Hardly any prosciutto or avocado ..I told her that I was very disappointed in the pizza, and the waiter was very blunt sounded like she didn’t want to talk an couldn’t Speak up at all to resolve the problem she asked if I wanted the pizza replaced but I had said no thanks an she hung up the phone very bluntly .

Great pizza, despite of being busy, they served best. Smiling faces, no wonder why this place was so much occupied. Definitely coming back, recommended highly. Keep it up guys.

New Edit: Thanks for the reply, owner. Not sure how you can check for orders when I'd given no date of when I went in (was not today, obviously review is older). Definitely the right store, definitely ordered the 'Lamb Kebab Pizza' in gourmet menu and wedges. Please don't try to discredit customers reviews, they're there for you to better your store. Thanks

As soon as we walked in we received very unfriendly customer service from a young woman that works there. Looked at us for a bit and said "Yeah?" Then proceeded to finally seat us in silence. Very awkward and not very friendly.

Took our order, didn't seem very happy and we ordered the kebab pizza and wedges.

Now when we received the food it looked delicious. Pizza was actually alright but the wedges were so over cooked (clearly) that it was hard to bite into.

Overall Its not somewhere I would stop into again but it wasn't horrible.

1/5 for service 2/5 for food (only what we ordered though)

Had a great birthday celebration here (Sept 2017). The staff, especially Liam, were outstanding! The garlic and cheese Turkish bread was amazing, the pizzas and pastas were awesome, and the steak was ok.

Thanks for a great night, and you have a star in Liam, don’t let him go!

    Cheers. 👍🏻😎

This place was amazing when I was a kid- you could taste the woodfire goodness, and the dips and bread were to die for. I took my husband there with high hopes and the place bore little resemblance to my childhood pizza joint. The dips were all creamy, and didn't taste different from one another. The pizza was so greasy- with literally, layers of fatty, cheap tasting cheese- and the prawns etc tasted fresh out of a freezer bag. The staff was nice, but I feel I should leave this review as an incentive to get some of the magic back. Fingers crossed!

For those who haven't recently been to Wood Oven pizza (in the 56 Mercer st, Geelong), it's really gotten quite excellent. Even though we found the restaurant busy, the service was fast and friendly. Our pizza was delicious and had a pretty selection of beers. And drinks.Prices, too, are reasonable for the quality. "excellent ingredients and unusual combinations dominated by the natural taste of the food, a cuisine that depends on finesse and balance." you won't be disappointed.

Great food & service. Not much has change over the years & it's great. Not the most modern place but a good place to take the family for dinner or lunch.

My partner and I ordered 2 gourmet pizzas and a chicken nuggets and chips for our three year old . We only eat half our food because we were so hungry and ended up cooking food at home anyway. We waited a half hour longer then the time given for us to wait and our daughters chips were soggy and in salted. The pizza bass it's self was the only thing about the pizzas we liked we might go back but it won't be for the pizza or chips. Sorry.

Not how it used to be. Had to chase a waiter to be served. The couple next to us was waving there hand to chase the flies from their pizza. When our platter came, we discovered a hair on the salad. It got taken back and returned with fresh salad. However the lamb cutlet was missing. The waiter returned with the cutlet on a plate, and placed it using her hand on the platter. We were speech less. We had the pizza's and had to ask for a takeaway box just to stop from waving or hands to chase the fires.
