When we first arrived we were greeted warmly and had been given a room upgrade so that was nice. The room was excellent and the view amazing! It was so nice to wake to the blue skies and the outlook over the water.
Staff were polite and very accommodating. From housekeeping who greeted us and called the lift, to the front desk staff and restaurant in the morning. The bar staff even allowed us to purchase a bottle of wine and take up to the room in the evening, even though they had closed.
It really was an amazing stay and we loved Geelong! Will definitely be going back and staying at Novotel

Easy and friendly check-in, very nice dinner. Breakfast was well stocked and reasonable variety. We were contacted beforehand by phone to ensure that we had a booking for our included restaurant dinner. The room was large, quiet and comfortable with a nice balcony looking out on the bay (we were fortunate to be well forward in the block ensuring that our view was not cut off by surrounding buildings). The rooms are getting a little "tired" looking these days but are clean and well set up.The hotel is very well located, central to the city shopping and bayside restaurants. All-in-all a very pleasant couple of days.

I loved my room overlooking the water. The views were great, the room was very chic and the food we had at our work conference was yum. The staff were friendly. The decor in the conference room was comfortable. We had a wonderful time.

Good hotel. Efficient service. Excellent service.
Gym was a bit small. Room was lovely with a view. May be improved with some upkeep-skirting boards and bath. Lovely setting

The location of the hotel is fantastic. Close to everything you would need whilst visiting Geelong. Room was a decent size with a comfortable bed and okay views of the water from the balcony. Check in was quick and easy and staff on the front desk were very friendly. The buffet breakfast at the restaurant was extensive and of good quality. Recommend.

We had visited a family member at a boarding school in Geelong and we stayed overnight , planning to catch the train to Melbourne the following morning.
Great position, we were able to walk both in the evening before dinner along the esplanade and the following morning early in a different direction along the waterfront. The history and public art is refreshing.
Friendly staff , good food and high standard of comfort in the room made for an enjoyable stay.

Hotel is in an excellent location on the waterfront and around the corner from the main shopping centre. Staff were friendly and efficient. Room was spacious but we were disappointed that the room was not serviced on the second day of our stay. The do not disturb sign was taken down at 10am when we went for breakfast, even though they cited that for the reason for not cleaning the room. Other than that the stay was satisfactory and the restaurant was very good.

Amazing location and good indoor pool. However, you need to make it much clearer how many people a room sleeps. A king suite is not suitable for 3 people, yet you advertise that it 'sleeps 3'. We stayed with a 4 yo, and had to hire a foldaway upon arrival, as your 'free infant beds' were just cots. So angry this costed me a further $40 a night. You NEED to make this clearer at booking. Parking was also expensive, but luckily we were unaffected by this due to it being easter weekend (free parking).

Disinterested reception staff at all times (check-in, check-out, bar query). Hotel corridors shabby and worn. Minimal bathroom amenities (shampoo, conditioner, shower-gel, shower-cap. That's all. Basin tap functioned poorly; toilet only flushed on full flush. The hotel felt run down and uncared for. An odd juxtaposition with our stay the previous night in a Mecure. The bar closed at 9.30 pm on a Friday night! A great location and good brand name deserving of a bit more care.

Stayed 5 nights in Geelong .Great bed. Great view. Fabulous on the bay for swimming, walking/running along the promenade with entertainment + Ferris wheel, enclosed historic merry go round, small train, eateries, shopping, theater and museum. Service prompt and friendly .Food & room service good. A few member plus benefits like slippers, robe, shower cap should have been in the room.
A little noisy from the traffic ,cars , motorbikes , yelling from the street. The rooms need better sound proofing re; Sliding door
to balcony .Needs softer room door closing as banging doors not so soft.
Valet service great easy but pricey..Over all good stay.

The staff at the Novotel Geelong were so lovely and helped us above and beyond. We took our 5 year old disabled son for his birthday for the night and the staff made sure our experience was wonderful. We will never forget it and our children absolutely loved it. Novotel should be proud to have such lovely, caring staff.
