  Such a great model - they sell second hand instruments on behalf of customers and take a commission. Results in a rich mix of unique instruments from the last 50 years that is a totally different experience from your standard music shop. Spent hours here. Staff very helpful and chilled

  Loads of used equipment, friendly staff. Ticketed prices seem higher than they should be for some items, others are well priced.

  I had an amp bought for me via the Music Swop Shop in Melbourne. It works really well. I thought I had an issue with the amp, however; it was my error, and I needed to replace my leads. Bryan always contacts me straight away when I need customer service. His team are very friendly, and knowledgeable, I would highly recommend their shop to anyone.

  Bought a synth over the phone, arrived two days later encased in a large box and bubble wrap. Opened it up with no issue.

  The guys who work here are the bomb. They will answer your questions and help make a purchasing decision until the cows come home and will even help you get a better deal from the seller. I've bought two guitars and a clarinet from here, and I will definitely be back. Don't bother buying brand new instruments if you can help it. Find a golden oldie at Music Swap Shop.

  I hadn't been to the store for a decade and when I finally returned, Brian astounded me by actually remembering my name!!
  
  They stock the best range of new and second hand equipment - guitars, synths, processors, percussion equipment, amplifiers etc etc.. Knowledgeable, helpful staff, great atmosphere.. They'll help you sell your old equipment for a fair price, too. Any time I visit Carlton, I make it my business to drop in, say hi, and have a look around. Fun central!

  I' am giving these guy's 5 stars, It is a nice place to shop for guitars, and guitar related items. It's kinda like a Library inside, you do your own thing look at what's available..then test it out, & if it hits the spot you buy it.
  
  Great instruments at a fraction of the price you would spend if you bought it brand new.
  
  Some-times the guy's are busy so a little patience is required, but they look after youDo your selves a favor, try out the Music Swop Shop Melbourne.
