Not only credit card surcharge but they hit you with an additional fee if you Paypass at your table. Ridiculous! Hadn't been studying my bill carefully enough. Looking for alternative venue for after work drinks. Live sex show a few weeks ago was interesting and uninterrupted by management!

One of the best hotels I've ever stayed at. And that says a lot since I'm a road warrior for work. Dixon in the lounge is the man! And Patrick at the front desk was so friendly and efficient with the rest of the team working in the lobby. I felt like royalty. Actually, I don't think royalty get treated this well.

Great hotel right in the city center! Central to the Melbourne Zoo and withib walking distance of many other sights. Essence on Exhibition is a great restaurant for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. With fitness center, indoor pool, and fresh infused water waiting in the lobby, this hotel is an all around winner!

Got the date night package, with valet parking and wine package it was great. Staff were lovely and very helpful. Room was also great. No view from our room but we don't mind as were locals and only there for a night.

Great location right in the heart of the CBD. Easy walk or tram to most of the city. Staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Rooms are spacious, though could use more clothing storage. The bed was comfortable, though did get a bit warm in the night. The pool features a large hot tub area and a sauna. The attached gym has all the basic equipment. The executive lounge is comfortable and has a shower for guests coming in early before their room is ready - which was awesome after a long flight. Both the breakfast and the light dinner in the lounge offers a great selection of items.

I'm lifetime Gold with Marriott, and have stayed in a LOT of their hotels all over the world. Generally speaking, Marriott worldwide sets the bar for hospitality exceedingly high, but the service I have received at this property is the top. It isn't flashy or in your face, but the staff without exception is friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. They make you feel welcome from the moment you walk in the door. Best of all, the care and attention shown guests isn't just the result of training or because they "have to" to satisfy the boss. These people clearly enjoy their work and delight in providing service and interacting with guests. In short, they genuinely CARE. Even better, they are empowered. Requests, even unusual ones, are never met with "let me check with the manager," but simply with a sincere effort to accomplish the goal. I don't get to Melbourne often, but this is my home base whenever I visit.

Booked as a date night and it was just so lovely to arrive and not have to think of a thing. Valet took the car, concierge gave us glasses of bubbles and I wandered up to the room to relax at the end of the week. Easy stroll to a casual dinner (so many options nearby) then back for a good night's sleep. The room was large and quiet, generous wardrobe and hanging space, great shower and a window that opened for fresh air. My only niggle - I still don't understand why there are never powerpoints on both sides of the bed! Cruised down for a lazy brekky (yum!), leisurely stroll in the city then collected the car (very quick valet service) and headed home. Great night out

Love this hotel. No frills, just a good solid hotel with a great staff. Peter the customer service manager is fantastic, always greets you with a smile and looks after you to make sure your stay is a good one. Fantastic location in the CBD is a bonus.

Located in the heart of city near famous Pubs and joints, it's an old building maintained by Marriott. Good and very friendly staff, average breakfast choices but the place is very lively and provides the best amenities during your stay. The rate fluctuates on a daily basis as per demand!

My daughter and I have just spent the night at the Marriott Hotel Melbourne. From the moment we arrived it was amazing. The staff were helpful. Amenities great. Our room upgrade was exceptional. The little touches were unexpected note and chocolates left in our room hoping we has enjoyed the show we attended, water given to us for our travel, just small things but memorable.
