Mahyo is 190cm tall. Not short enough to stay. Just kidding. Mahyo stayed here instead of east side of Southbank. This side is better.

We rent a two bedrooms apartment in Sounthbank in Sept 2017 and stayed at room 775.

We were late for about 20 minutes due to transportation and raining. It was out of our control and it should not be our fault. The person just took off without leaving any trace. That left four of us soaked in the rain with no clue what to do in a foreign country. It was a hostile experience to deal with the situation.

They were several issues to stay in StayCentral in Southbank apartment after checked in.

Upon arrival, there were quite a few issues.

    - The two bed rooms and bath rooms were freeze to death with no heater or what so ever. Two ladies were complaining about it and sneezed on their noses.
    - The sliding door glasses facing the downtown of Melbourne were dirty with hand image on it.
    - The kitchen fan filter was greasy and oily not to mention the challenge how to operate it. As a matter of fact, a simple instructions will solve lots of grieve.
    - One of the bath room toilet cover was filthy and dirty with urine accumulation. We have to thoroughly clean it before using it.
    - There was no paper tower in the kitchen so we have to use toilet paper to substitute it.
    - The kitchen burner could not start properly without matches.
    - The complementary tea bags(only 4) and shower soaps(only 4) were not adequately provided.
    - The apartment were not cleaned professionally with dust on TV set and picture frames.

The most frustrated part was after complaining to hotel service manager Chris asking to switch to a different apartment. He got defensive and left us speechless. It is supposed to be a 4 stars apartment ended with a 2 stars(kindly) facility and 1 star services!

Very bad experienced , booked for 2 bedroom apartment and when we arrived the room was smelly , has a lot of stain in the carpet , looks very dirty and unpresantable. The worst part is the manager in the apartment in this building 63 whiteman street Southbank, doesn't know how to handle customer, very unprofessional, need to learn more about customer service. The Melbourne short stay apartment at kavanagh street is much more better. This one at 63 whiteman street is the worst experience ever .

Short stay apartments indeed! We stayed for no more than 30 minutes before coming to a full realisation that this place was a dump (and not 4 1/2 star accommodation as advertised on the website) and that we were entitled to a full refund. The carpet was thoroughly stained, the bed cover was stained, the cushions were stained and the walls were stained. All the furnishings and appliances were incredibly cheap, old and nasty. The broken horizontal blinds that dominated the bedroom gave the impression that one was retiring to a private detective's office in an early 80's film. The manager was unapologetic and combative. The only saving grace was a gentleman at the front desk by the name of Sam who was very understanding and did what he could to arrange our full refund. We ended up staying at the Double Tree by Hilton. For less than $30 more per night it was far superior accommodation in a more central location.

Great value - if travelling with mates, it's far cheaper than getting three separate rooms.

Short stay was ok. It did have all the things u need. Like dishwasher, toilet essentials, good t.v, fridge, microwave . The balcony view is spectacular. The reason i havn't given it 5 stars is because our 1st night we found unclean sheets with a scab and patches of what looked like grey paint. Our washing/drying machine didnt work for the first 2 days. And when it did work the lid wouldn't open until your'e 10th try. The receptionist told us that the machine only worked with the lights on which is very silly because that didnt help the first 2 days. Other than that the location of short stay is great with the city around us.I expected more according to the high price charge.
