Location and rooms were nice, except bathroom has several faults such as there is no consistency between the rooms and shower is very depressing to look at in our room. The basins are the only part of the shower that looked Nice, and toilets look as if they were planned last minute. Although service was good. There is no free wifi unless you pay for plus

Park view room on the 17th floor. Wonderful view of Carlton Gardens and Royal Exhibition Building. Wifi included for Mantra plus members.
Very spacious one bedroom suite with quality furniture and very comfortable large bed.

Apartment size is generous and mostly clean. The most annoying thing about my stay was the shower which took on average 5 minutes to get hot and then when it did would cycle between hot and cold constantly. This was hot enough that it could potentially scold children.
The Apartment isn't serviced everyday so you may need to buy shampoo and soap if there are more than 1of you.
There is a TV and radio available in the lounge room and adequet kitchen with dishwasher, microwave, hotplates and an oven.

Nice hotel in a very good location. Excellent customer service. The rooms are very spacious and well equipped. My only criticism is that the bathrooms are a little tired- looking .

Staff and service were good. Room and facilities are looking tired, and in need of some love. Otherwise totally good place to stay :)

Clean and near public transport. Close to all needs in the cbd. Has a pool, sauna and gym. Thats a plus. Best for short stay in melbourne.

Needs updating. Very misleading photos of this hotel online. Bathrooms are particularly dated and uncomfortable, with wobbly towel racks and difficult access. Water temperature in the shower fluctuated a lot too. The poor staff did what they could and were very friendly and accommodating.

Great service, early check-in for us as we had a 12md appointment, needed to park car, room available straight away, treated very well, very comfortable, staff very pleasant and helpful, we will use the same motel whenever we are in Melbourne.

I love staying with Mantra all around Australia and even more so with the free upgrade I received from Mantra on the Park in Melbourne.

pretty tired bathrooms and at a grungy end of Melbourne. if you get a deal and you're facing the park it's ok for the views.

I was put in a two bedroom apartment which had plenty of room and an ok kitchen. the bedroom with the ensuite was a bit cramped but the other bedroom near the main bathroom was fine.

the doors and windows are pretty thin/misfitting so if you need quiet you'll need a high floor. mantra should renovate this property. (stayed April 2017)

Mantra on the Park has great views from the front rooms and while the facilities are aging the staff are helpful and the IGA supermarket downstairs has most supplies you may need to cook up a quick feed in your room.

The staff are great and for out of their way to make sure your stay is enjoyable. Gillian in the Terrace cafe is a breath of fresh air every morning making you want to return for coffee each day.

The staff were very friendly and accommodating although the hotel is serverly outdated and heading towards unhygienic. Furniture was old and stained. Kitchen was understocked with basic necessities and the dishwasher smelt atrocious, could not use it. The bathrooms are the main problem with this place. Unreliable outdated, worn and unclean. Tiles were cracked. Grout was black and mouldy and everything looked like it was 20 years old. Felt very unclean and at times quite gross. Location is quite good and very close to Melbourne central station which is a plus. Although I would not recommend this place due to the outdated and frankly gross amenities
