Nice room well located. I would give 3.5 stars (So 4 as I feel 3 would be unfair). Hotel was very well located and staff were extremely friendly. On the down side, you have to pay extra for room service. As this is done as standard if you were to stay one night I don't understand why they would penalise longer term guests spending more also there was additional cost for Wi-Fi which I think in this day and age is crazy

The location of this property is amazing! We had a comfortable stay and ate some really great food nearby. If you're in Cairns then stay here.

This hotel is very different from the Mantra trilogy. It is old and run down with paint peeling from the walls. The vanity was rotten and the beds are unfortable. The kitchen and appliances are very basic. Great location though right opposite the Cairns lagoon, just don't pay a premium price as the website makes it look much better than it is.

Stayed for three nights in a one bedroom apartment. Clean and modern. Excellent location. Short walk to the marina, the lagoon, and many restaurants and cafes in the centre of town. Pool was small and partly closed off for construction during our stay.

I was fortunate enough to get the apartment with a view of the lagoon on the esplanade. Clean rooms, aircon in all rooms, would definitely recommend!

Pros: Excellent location that is so close to the Marina where most people go for the reef cruise and fishing charter, etc
Cons: No Service Hotel (first time heard this); Bugs in the bathroom; Bugs on the bed that actually bites and now I still have tons of bites on my leg!
No Service means they don't clean your room. I am a clean person, but paying ~ $150 USD per night I would expect some service. You have to get your new towels at the front desk. If I pay $60 per night for a motel then I don't expect any service, so please look for somewhere else that offers service with the same price but probably a few blocks further from the Marina.response / report this review -

This was probabaly the worst hotel/experience I've stayed in and had in a while. We got here and our room was completely beat up and dirty. There were spiders and spider webs all over the room, the walls were marked and scuffed all over and the doors and hallways looked like they haven't cleaned or maintenances the place since 1895. We requested to change rooms and they kindly gave us a new one but the rest of the experience here was about the same. Not much help in explaining thoroughly where things around town are, you have to pay for everything including basic things like Wifi and if you are not a "mantra plus member" you are required to sign up and pay for literally everything. They advertise things that they offer in the rooms but they are not even available. This is by far the worst on my list of hotels that I've stayed in and I would NEVER recommend this place to anyone. Accommodations. HA! There is nothing accommodating about this place.

Fantastic location. Rooms are looking a bit dated . Staff reallocated our room to someone else so had another guest walk into our room unexpectedly. Took 3 attempts over 2 days for staff to correctly program our electronic door keys .

The proximity to the Cairns Lagoon was awesome for a dip during the hot afternoons and evenings. This hotel is in walking distance from everything you'll need.

The room had an overpowering smell of dust/mold. Many of the items in the room were dusty. Hot water in the shower didn't work properly. Saw bugs in bed side drawers and in the bathroom. The bathroom lock was awkward to use and had to be forced for it to unlock. Pillows were extremely hard (I ended up sleeping with no pillow).
The view was nice but unfortunately it was not enough to justify the condition and smell of the room.
The reception staff were lovely however I would not recommend this place if you are looking for a good nights sleep.response / report this review
