My daughters 17 and 20 and myself stayed for a week at the Hibiscus we had a wonderful time and the staff were warm and friendly. The grounds, gardens and pools gave a tropical oasis feel. Breakfast at the pool every morning was delicious. Walking distance to everything made it easy to get around. The.bbq's next to the pools are a great way to cook a steak sit and relax with a wine poolside followed by an evening swim was sooooo relaxing. The rooms were great with added bonus of a kitchen the only thing I can fault is the couches in our unit were uncomfortable and very stained need updating. I would stay here again. Thankyou

I would like to provide some honest feedback regarding our stay in July 2017. We stayed at Hibiscus about 4 years ago and enjoyed it immensely. However we didn't enjoy this stay as much as we did last time. The room we stayed in was too small with not enough bench space in the kitchen to prepare meals and there was a musty wet like odour in the room that took us 4 days to get rid of. The biggest disappointment was breakfast. The variety of options that were present 4 years ago were not available this time. There weren't enough options for breakfast and on some days certain food items were not being replenished, I'd suggest the staff in the kitchen check food stocks more frequently. For what was available for breakfast didn’t match the cost of it.
Overall the stay was okay, however we will be looking for somewhere else to stay next time we come to Port Douglas.response / report this review -

The perfect place to stay in Port Douglas, the rooms are spacious and have everything you need. Hibiscus has two pools both with that Bali feel and are heated to the perfect temperature. Hibiscus is one block away from the main shopping, cafe and restaurants meaning it is quiet.
but has easy access to everything you need to enjoy yourself. High praises go to Jenny at reception who has gone out of her way to make us feel welcome.

Bathroom needs an up grade!!! shower, head needs new head,water slow flow need more pressure! Aircon, in wrong spot u need 2 of them I the bathroom and main area to cool the whole room! The pool is cloudy needs more attention, room service needs to be every morning Eg fresh towels every day, room nice and cleaned should be every morning! As I am cleaner of my own business ! And trade back ground!! outside just left to long needs a lot a attention eg, some decks need replaced and stained again and big clean up it's like jungle! Need more BBQ facilities and dining areas BBQ be cleaned twice day to be the best again . Needs up grade thanks

Great room, easy access to the pool, easy walk to the marina and most restaurants in town. Internet speed and data caps could have been better, but I think that's just because of how remote Port Douglas is.
