Lavish and Beautiful resort, with picturesque grounds that you can get lost on. Perfect for families, or a romantic getaway. Staff were friendly, rooms were cleanfood in the main restaurant was alright. Really this spot is about the destination.
Four relaxing days, in a fantastic lagoon-edge suite with hop-in, hop-out pool access from our balcony! Golf course was great, especially for the early riser. Staff were friendly and helpful, weather was great and food good. Lots of food and entertainment options in town.
This resort is magnificent! Friendly staff, gorgeous gardens, amazing breach with lots of pools to relax around. The food presentation is wonderful and you never leave hungry. Our room is large, clean and spacious. I highly recommend this resort.
We stopped in for some drinks and the setting was really nice. We sat down on some very comfortable chairs and enjoyed some snacks and a few drinks. The food came out in a reasonable amount of time and the drinks were made well.
This location is amazing. It's a 25 minute walk into town along beautiful beach. The rooms are spacious and there are more pools than you would ever need.
Staff are super friendly here! Great place to relax all day by the pool! Rooms are newly renovated as well. It's a lovely resort.
Rooms were nice. Location and facilities were good. Service at food outlets were a little slow at times. Other than that , everything was good
The staff are very friendly, professional, helpful and courteous. If you like a mix of grand, spacious, luxury and peaceful then this will suit.
The gardens are well established, well looked after and beautiful. I don't quite know how many people are staying here at the moment, I believe there are a lot, but you can wander around and it feels like you almost have the place to yourself.
Lovely resort in a wonderful small town! Perfect for a weeks stay and it is family friendly. One thing to note is that they do charge extra if you for an additional people over the standard 2. Pool facilities are excellent and great for padlding and lounging around. The beach is nice but during high tide it is almost non-existent and there are waves and a current so it is pretty much unusable. I would still recommend as all the amenities in the resort more than make up for this shortcoming.
Beautiful Resort. Good quality food at Sydney prices. Not really equipped to handle 100% occupancy. On sunny days, you need to scramble for a space around the pool or be happy with sitting on the grass. Pool service does not really exist.
We came to the Sheraton Mirage with a large group and took up accommodation in two of their villas. The customer service at the main lobby was exemplary however other aspects were left wondering or wanting. We had booked a long time in advance and were still unable to obtain villas in close proximity to one another. The different decor and effort put into the two villas was of note. One was modern, chic, and encouraged large group interaction while the other villa had a much more sedated, 90's feel with much less of a new and exciting vibe that was present in the other villa. If someone did not know what a good job the Sheraton can do with decor for a villa they may be satisfied with our second villa's appearance, however that was not the case here. Foxtel is provided for the villas which is great, however we had one villa with no working TV. To the Sheraton's credit they fixed the problem promptly. The only other point of note was the lack of complimentary wifi. In this day and age it is nothing but profiteering and a glaring sign that not every aspect of the buisness has caught up to modern society.
This resort is run down and has really lost its shine. It used to be such a wonderful resort with great service and fantastic food and entertainment. Sheraton Grand Mirage is now
More like a budget hotel. There are so many other wonderful resorts in Port Douglas so there is no need to stay at this one.
We spent 6 lovely nights here last week and it was our second visit having previously been here 18 months ago. The upgrade is lovely throughout the Resort, with a great fresh and bright atmosphere, though still not sure about the shutter doors on the bathroom. All of the staff were friendly and helpful. We will definitely be going back.
Love, love, love this beach resort. Walking on 4 mile beach every day looking at the Great Barrier Reef. Wow! We enjoyed the cool breezes, the unusual birds walking around the outdoor halls on the way to breakfast and the staff was helpful. Looking forward to returning.
