So there I was at Highpoint Hoyts there to see a friend and see what movie I wanted to see and gain some insight to the deals currently available. Now I will admit that I was talking to my friend for a tad longer than I should have. However the backlash and treatment of a customer does not justify the mananger's actions. After talking to my friend and catching up whilst also asking questions in relation to his job for 5 minutes, the manager comes up to me and says "Have you had your talk yet?" Now before I could even give this manager an anwser "Because if you have, you need to leave now, because he has a job to do." I was absolutely disgusted by the audacity this manager had shown to a long time patron of theirs. What I find most appalling about this "situation" is the fact that he stated i was ruining the workplace environment, when in actual fact i was asking and receiving the goods and services Hoyts provides.

Dirty, smelly and need of a full renovation.
Attended a session today in cinema 10. There was an immediate stench that reminded me of stale urine. The walls on the entry were filthy. Goodness knows how hygienic the seats were. If this is representative of the whole theatre, then theatre management need to give the whole theatre a full professional clean and sanitise. Bring in a professional company with proper carpet and upholstery cleaning equipment. Or review the contract for the company the is supposed to clean your theatre - they aren't doing the job properly. Thoroughly clean all walls and handles, let alone the toilet areas. Spend some money management, you charge enough. In fact more than I have paid at most other cinemas.
I mentioned it to a staff member who was receptive and apologetic. But clients and junior staff should not have to bear the brunt of an inferior, filthy cinema because management don't care or are to tight with their money. I was informed the whole theatre is to be revamped -next year? - not before time. Sort of thing I might expect in a third world country, not in a high class shopping centre like Highpoint.

I often go to the Hoyt's cinemas in Highpoint but there have been quite a few movies when the volume is just ridiculously loud. After the movie I couldn't hear very well. This definitely took my enjoyment out of watching the movie. The employees or managers need to make sure the volume is appropriate as I could see other people in the audience also wincing at the high volume. I enjoyed the overall experience however it is not good to leave your audience's hearing damaged.

Dirty and dated. Some staff seem irritated to have to deal with you. This Hoyts is in serious need of an update and new management.

Seriously this place is unbelievable. So I went on the website and I wanted an 8:20 session for Annabelle. I go up to the counter and said "can I get an 8:20 session for Annabelle," she replied with "yeah sure." So I went into the movie and I was sitting there for about 20 mins and the movie finished and then I looked at the tickets and it said "9:30" and I got so angry because I basically know how the movie ends. How the f am I supposed to watch the movie from the start if I watched the end. I was really frustrated with this. Ridiculous! I'm convinced some of the staff members need hearing aids.

Decent but somewhat unprofessional. I showed my ID when I bought the ticket - the man at the server approved it, and gave me the ticket.
Then, when I went to get my ticket ripped, I was asked to present my ID AGAIN! Like seriously, do you not trust the first dude at the counter?
It's highly unlikely he mucked it up because it wasn't busy - he looked at my card and approved it. I don't know, just a bit odd.

Amenities are good. Reasonably clean and comfortable. Our session did not have assigned seating. The arm rests in the theatre we were in did not raise up. Odd large columns in theatre but didn't block view.

Parking can be a bit crowded.

Snack bar is way too expensive with a very long queue. I recommend one of the several nearby by restaurants.

Horribly run cinema. And outdated seats extra. Columns yep columns in some theaters.. take a moment to think about that. Their imax runs back to back (5min turn around maybe) so while waiting you hear spoilers for the movie you are about to see. And whatever you do don't order the nachos (self assembly required). Love a bag of microwave cheese and a bag of chips.

Overall a nice cinema however there are a few really old cinema rooms here which is disapointing because they screen new movies in them. Even Village Cinema at Sunshine has nicer seats.

I would have had a better experience at home with my 32 inch tv and my $130 computer speakers. I was totally disappointed at a limited viewing of a particular music documentary and they absolutely ruined it Go somewhere else people. Let this cinema die a deservingly slow death.

Went here on a typical Saturday night. Disappointing from the get-go.
Cinema appeared to not have been cleaned (Cinema 5).
Closest Men's bathroom to said cinema fully out of order, so had to walk all the way to the other side of the complex.
Lights were left on until last minute at start of feature presentation.
