Great service, staff friendly and found exactly what we were looking for.
Service is consistently poor. I was served at the trade desk by Jen who had me move stacks of timber closer to her register even though she has a cordless scanner and there was no one else there. I didn’t have a trolley and she wanted said she was busy doing something else. She was rude and obviously didn’t want to be there. I also witnessed her speak aggressively to the customers before me. This is trade! We use this desk regularly and to be treated like this is appalling. I go to bunnings for ease of access, a one stop shop for business, but to have to be treated like I’m second rate. It’s not worth it. I’ve received much better service at other bunnings.
If I return I’ll record her and post it. She’s borederline offensive!
Good Bunnings, have generally found the staff quite helpful at this store as well as being generally well stocked.
Big store nice arrangement of plants but hard to find someone when you need help.
The assistant said Bunnings VS were out of stock of furniture Dolleys ($12). I said you had dozens 24 hours ago. I found them out the front. It's the same as three days ago I went in looking for a laundry trough. I was sent down 2 wrong aisles. I looked it up on line then showed the staff - they found it 4 aisles over. The week prior I was looking for one way screws (anti-theft ), I was told by staff Bunnings VS didn't stock them. I looked them up online on my mobile and discovered them for myself.
Very few staff know where anything is after things have apparently been moved around.
I always feel like a kid in a lolly shop everytime I go to Bunnings but Vermont is my favourite so far.
This place is ok, but this store consistently has very poor shelf stocking and I've been there for years, on many occasions. Too often I've had to go to another store to get screws, bolts etc because the shelves are empty. Really frustrating.
Always helpful and friendly. Great range of stock, but not the place for unusual or specialist items.
Not only do the staff here know their stock and their products, they are clearly all about the customer service as evident by Kath in the leisure centre. She was extremely helpful and demonstrated a love of her job. Thanks Kath! Hopefully this praise will filter back to you.
Proper full size bunnings. Plenty of parking.
I moved to Melb 9 months ago and I have found Bunnings Vermont to have great parking, friendly, happy and helpful staff.I think in a lot of cases with staff, it is how we as customers approach them, does really determine the response we get.Keep up the good work !!
I have a bazar experience with this store yesterday afternoon. I hired a compactor from the machine hire. At the time hiring, I asked the lady how it works to make sure it works even though I know how to start the machine. The answer from the lady was that she did not know. Anyhow I hired it for 4 hours at the cost $39,00 plus $100.00 deposit. I paid it at 12:45pm. Back home only to find that the machine was faulty, could not start. At 1:20pm I carry the compactor back to the store requiring the refund as they do not have another replacing machine. A man ( I will not mention his name here), came starting to accusing me flooding the machine. I asked him how do you know that I flooded the machine. His answer was that he tested the machine the previous day and it was a very easy machine. He refused to refund the money. I request to see the manager. A lady manager ( I will not mention her name here either) came along, starting to question whether the machine is dirty, whether it can start now. The man said it has to wait for at least for one hour to test it. The lady manage indicated to me that I have to wait till the test is done. This lasted for more than twenty munities. I told them that I can not wait that long as I have to finish the job. I was very much humiliated by the two of them. Finally they refund the money.
I went straight to Kennards hire the same machine. The machine works perfectly without hassle.
Bunnings was good before. However, it was the past. I do not recommend anyone to hire machinery from Bunnings Vermont South store. They are very, very bad.
Massive variety and always lots of parking right outside. Also has an office works right outside. Also good free activities on a weekly basis and sausage sizzles just about every weekend.
