Great atmosphere, great service we were there for a Sunday lunch there was live music. Log fire on warm and cosy great food and a glass of your favourite beverage.

Went to the Baxter tavern for the first time in many years. Was a really good night. All the staff were really friendly and the food very nice. We had the steak on special (porterhouse) with pepper sauce and veggies instead of chips. The sauce was made with real pepper corns and was delightful. Free bred roll, salad and soup, such a reasonable price as well. My photos don't do it justice, very nice.

This pub has a lovely olde world atmosphere to it with lots of room in the bistro. There was a band about to play being a Saturday night but I left before it started. Prices are very reasonable and when you buy a main meal - soup and a bread roll are included. It has pokies and has a small group of shops nearby.

Been to the Tavern many times and always good but tonight I had a very dry, taste less nasi goreng combination with 3 empty mussel shells. Huge disappointment

Great value for money. The meals fantastic and very generous serves at an affordable price. Gets very busy as it is so popular for dinner. Large dinning room with open fires adds to the appeal. Great for large group bookings.

Atmosphere - nice pub, pleasant environment, good staff. Food - inconsistent - never know whether you're going to get something good or something terrible. After a great meal of roast pork a couple of months ago, repeats since have got steadily worse until tonight's few thin, dry slices apparently sourced from Woolies deli, no fat, drowned in gravy made from commercial powder, no crackling ('sold out' 15 minutes after commencement of service) and a couple of veggies. I think its time to find an alternative venue - what a pity.

The guy who is complaining that they were calling out the wrong numberthey don't call out numbers at the Baxter Tavern. Your meals are brought to the table. You must be trolling! Anyway, my experiences have pretty well been positive there. One thing I particularly like is the fresh cooked vegies, none of that frozen medley rubbish. I'd like less menu items with bacon and my last meal of herb coated fish was pretty awfulthe coating all fell off and the Sea Perch was dry. Nevertheless I will be back this evening.

This is the venue where Frankston High School hold most of their reunions, has become very popular with the school, over the last 5 years, the function room is quite spacious, and can hold over 100 people, at any one time
This function room is ajacant to the lounge & bar.
The meals are a bit expensive, but are served on large oval plates, with generous serves, as for the beer, I wouldn't exactly call $5+, for a 10oz, reasonable, and being teetotal, I wasn't impressed by being charged $3.50 for a 10oz lemonade, but all things being equal, a good tavern, but you'd go through a fair bit of money in one afternoon.
