Highly recommend never take pet there!
Took our bird there at midnight cause couple times gasped for air wasn't very serious Was still very active flying eating etc and only young
Took it there to get checked at midnight call at 7am they put it down! And could not even give a bloody straight answer just said oh the doctor said could of been this or this so put it down did not even call before that stupid decision was made they have just done it! And the bird was no where near a critical state was flying around very active and eating

DON’T TAKE YOU PET THERE - should be Zero Stars! Totally amateur inexperienced staff. Who say they have many years of experience in emergency but have just graduated? Carless, inexperienced blood taking, stressed my cat. Totally in adequate diagnosis – just stabbing in the dark with 4 or more scenarios. No life support suggested, the only assoc vet on call – where was their advertised team?! Where was their antivenin? Nurse who advises you to put your pet to sleep. Then says you have a credit! No anaesthetic before euthanasia hence an extremely long and very painful death. She was the sweetest thing on earth. PLEASE DON’T TAKE YOU PET THERE HAVE ANOTHER ALTERNATIVE WHEN THERE IS AN EMERGENCY.

I rushed our cat into this centre a few days ago as he was having difficulty passing urine. He was crying at home and it was upsetting for me to see. The vet and nurse attended to him immediately. The vet examined him and luckily he didn't have a blocked bladder but he had cystitis. They give him pain medication promptly for this. The staff are very kind, professional and reassuring. My cat is doing very well and I am so lucky that this 24hr hospital is close to home. So good that you can just go there, not fuss about making appointments and they are always open.

We do not recommend this animal emergency hospital whatsoever. They did nothing to save our dog other than provide oxygen and charged us over $5000 a day to do so. This company is an absolute rip-off and it appears their exorbitant charges don't reflect the skill and competency of their vet's and nurses- they were too incompetent to perform the life-saving operation she needed despite vet's on previous shifts claiming that it was necessary.
THIS PLACE IS A JOKE. Biggest regret we have is ever taking our beloved dog there. Lesson learnt. Never again. Beware!

I will NEVER EVER bring my dog there again. The VET that attended my dog was not able to understand that my dog had an injury in his mouth after telling her the following sequence of events that are also reported in the medical report SHE WROTE.

The dog was happy and active as always, I took him to the park to play fetch with his favorite toy, a wood stick, and suddenly my dog started bleeding from his mouth. What could have possibly happened? Is it more likely that THE STICK somehow, which he was playing with, had accidentally cause a tear in his mouth? Or is it more likely that he has eaten a bird or a rat days ago and that instantaneously, when we were playing with THE STICK in the park, he started bleeding from his mouth because he has eaten something day?

In the meantime, my dog was inflating around the neck like a balloon, bleeding even more and he was showing problems breathing. We had been told to leave him there and go back home, and that they will need to do a blood test A blood test for a stick injury??????

I want to cut to the chase and don't bother you with all the silly things they told us over the phone for the next 3 hours. The bottom line is that, after let me say that again 3 hours of phone calls where they kept telling us that he looked fine, they tell us that we need to go back to the hospital and take him to the nearby Surgery clinic just in front of them (that is actually the only good thing they have told us because when we took him to Southpaws they immediately understood what was going on).

So we went back to the clinic to collect him and his neck was like a melon. So I kindly screamed at the VET:"Is this a dog that looks fine in your??????!!!!!!"

Anyway, we took him to Southpaw and after a major surgery to his trachea (it only took 40 minutes from the time we said "hi" to the time our dog was under surgery ) and 3 weeks of feeding him through a tube our dog is finally getting back to normal. Thanks a lot Southpaw!

If you were wondering about the payment, don't worry, AEC are more worried to take a deposit from you of 2000$ before they look at your dog. Totally different is Southpaw approach, they didn't even asked for the credit card. They fixed our dog and 3 days later when we went there to collect our dog they have fairly asked to be paid. Please note, I just wanted to point out the different approach of both clinics.

I am writing with the hope that some people/manager in AEC understand that their service is much needed for people like me that love pets like if they were our children, and that we would like to have the peace of mind that our pets are well looked after. That wasn't the experience I had with AEC unfortunately.

Completely Incompetent! They completely botched a simple procedure which resulted in my pet having a serious infection and needed to receive the EXACT SAME procedure at a different VET practice which subsequently went perfectly. None of the Vets communicate with each other and the price tag is way too high for their obvious lack of basic animal care skills. This makes for a piss poor experience. Do yourself and your pet a favor and take them ANYWHERE else.

They seem to charge like a wounded bull. Our experience over the years, as well as a neighbour of ours, is that they seem too speedy recommending rather drastic procedures, with the attached high-end bill. Not much else about if it is after hours, but if you can wait, take your pet to a local vet - much cheaper and I'd say more peace of mind.
