Along with Bunnings Mentone, this is by far one of the better Bunnings stores I've visited. Staff are great but sometimes, especially on weekends they can be hard to locate so a tip is to do your homework online and work out what isles your items are in.
Specials are great too but get in early as they do often run out of hot catalog buys. The kid's play area is a good touch and great for the kids and you can easily keep an eye on them while having a coffee in the adjacent coffee shop.
So my gripes are:
(1) Staff are sometimes hard to find, especially on weekends
(2) The lighting in many of the isles is not the best so reading pricing and product details can be difficult at times, especially if you have sight difficulties.response / report this review -

Cheap prices compare to some other stores, friendly staff. Bob was very helpful with the hinges for our new door. He showed us a few different styles and configurations made from different materials so we ended up buying alloy cast iron rubberized rustproof light weight hinges, Thank you again Bob.

$300 worth of marine ply wood gone down the drain.
Asked the guy to cut the wood and specifically asked to make sure it was cut perfectly.
Got wood back and it was so roughly cut that each piece was a different size.
Guy wouldn't give me measuring tape to ensure it was correct.
Not happy about it, customer service on the phone said well you should have checked.. how can I check when they don't let me.response / report this review -

Just a normal Bunnings. However had the gall wasp traps in stock that other bunnings didn't. So a successful visit.

Recently had the pleasure of getting some things ordered for a new pantry through here.
Was told the date for pickup was 2/9/17. Came in to pick it all up. Some of it wasn't ready. The rest of it was already on a pallet and covered in wrap. No issue.
Start putting everything together, find broken hinges, hinges missing, door missing, handles missing. Great. Go back to the shop, excellent service in the fact they just replaced those parts straight away, find out whats happening with the rest of my order that was meant to take another 2 weeks (14days), being that today is the 20/09/17 and still haven't taken delivery of the rest of the goods (But have paid for it) its a bit annoying as we have no bench tops or splash backs. We cannot finish the install and are just waiting for the components. Staff don't know where the parts are either as they were meant to be at the store already. Highly disillusioned & annoyed with having to continually chase them for it and go back to pick up components that were meant to be packed & checked in the first place.response / report this review -

Average store, nothing exceptional about this place. It's a shame as its the local store to my place. Next time I will travel that little bit further to go to a store with good service.

Had an unsavoury experience where the "people greeter" screamed at me when walking out the store to "STOP RIGHT THERE". I thought I was being accused of shoplifting but no, they were just having a bad day and wanted to alarm me. Their excuse for doing this was that I needed to give way to someone entering the store via the opposite sliding door over 5 metres away! Find some better customer service people without the attitude.

Hi everyone, just wanted to let you know how I rate Bunnings Moorabbin. Well, I paid them a visit today (Sunday afternoon) very busy today, most than normal. I have a long list of things to get, which I'd circled in the catalogue, I just love their specials. Some of the items were sold out (that was disappointing) so I went to the next one up. Everytime I visit Bunnings, I always find what I'm looking for, the staff are always friendly & helpful & even if I have a DIY project on the go. Sometimes I get stuck & don't how to fix a problem but when l explain it, there's always someone who know how to guide me to get unstuck. Thank you to all, I really appreciate all your help & encouragement. Also, I just wanted to say a special thank you to John in the tool shop, he's knowledge was amazing & I'm learning alot as I tackle new projects. Thank you, to all the staff, I'm always happy when come way of there, I just love going to Bunnings Moorabbin. It's the Bunnings to go to when you start any new project. Thank you so much everyone, I'm really lucky to have you in my area. Please keep it up the good work & don't stop being you, good staff is hard to find. Cheers Marina 😊

By far the best bunnings experience i have ever had!! Professional, efficient and extremely helpful. Was served by an elder gentleman that goes by the name of Ian. He addressed my issue with a floor sander.

A smaller store than their Mentone store, so they don't carry as a wide a range of products. Still a good store though. Has a good kid's play area and coffee shop.
