We bought 5 expensive maganolia plants from this store, then 3 died after planting and 2 were growing well. A staff member suggested we should bring in the dead plant to do a testing before we replace them. When we brought in the dead plant in a pot, the store manager who did not even bother to look at the plant and straight way denying its their plant problem but because the soil was too wet - in fact the plant was dead well before we had the heavy rains in Melbourne. The wet soil in the pot was only because it captured rain the night before we brought that dead plant in!
Obviously this store manager has very poor attitude and no intention to investigate the true reason causing the dead plant and honour the quality guarantee they prompt at Garden World at all. Simply he doesn’t want to see you after their plant been sold.
Very dissapointing experience though we have been buying plants from them for many years, we will never come back again!
Good luck to all their customers with this particular store manager!
Good advice on offer and heaps of options. Love the cactus garden, have brought a lot of cactus from them but my cactus garden is not quite as good :-). Its a great place to visit and explore. It's not just about the plants though as they have a wide range of indoor and outdoor items, including furnishings and decorative.
Gardenworld has to be one of, if not the best, garden centres in Melbourne. There's plenty of parking but it does get pretty busy on the weekend, especially in the afternoons. Strongly recommend that you get there in the morning. It's made up of a number of independently owned businesses, but to be honest, you wouldn't really notice this. A good idea might be to check out the range and prices on their online store before getting there. The gift voucher they have make pretty good gifts. We would have given Gardenworld 5-stars but at the start of the visit we did have one disappointment, and that was in the cafe.
A wide selection of plants and a very interesting orchid area. Loved the cactus display area as well. Nice to stop off at the coffee shop and wonder round as if you were visiting gardens
Always enjoy visiting here. Great range of plants, gifts and garden accessories. Cafe gets really busy, but like staff in every area, pleasant and polite service.

Great place to spend a morning or afternoon. Gardenworld itself has a great range and knowledgeable staff. When you add the specialised shops that call the complex home you really have a Mecca for gardeners.
Extremely helpful and nice. Heaps of range. Parking plentiful. Went to get plants for the front of our newly built home. Spoke to one girl who was very knowledgeable about plants especially native Australian ones. Then picked a few and asked another man who worked there if they would go. He spent time with us discussing and choosing the right combination. Excellent experience. Thanks for the great service!
Probably one of the biggest and best places locally. I love the cafe. Great place for food and coffee. Must try their soups, especially roasted pumpkin soup. Delicious.
I came with my Nan, and we were both excited, to walk around, buy some things and grab a bite to eat. But we were treated poorly by staff. They were rude, disrespectlful. It ruined our day. The only person who respected us today was the lady working at the sand in a jar area. Garden World today has been a terrible first experience. And we will never be coming back. I am going to let all of my friends know what happened so they don't go to a place were you are treated like a piece of trash. Disappointed
Very good customer service and Excellent collection of garden plants and necessities.
George madders doesn't know what he's talking about.
Collectors corner is priced quite appropriately! And I don't live in Melbourne so stuff is usually cheaper at rural nurseries i personally find collectors corner to be similar prices to what I find rurally (sometimes cheaper) except the massive perk is the unbelievable range!! I'd never find all of these varieties even in the same town rurally!
I love collectors corner. It's the absolute best place!
We go to the cafe to grab coffee and look at the plants in the garden area often. They have a nice range. Staff are helpful and friendly. Some recognise us and always say hello. I would recommend them.
