We have done the six course menu here twice, and it was phenomenal both times (almost 10 years in between the two experiences). The food is amazing, staff incredibly attentive and the chef comes to every table to speak to the guests. Overall, a highly recommendable experience and our favorite place for a fine dining visit in the Cape.

Breathtakingly beautiful estate with wines that taste just as gorgeous.
The Stellenbosch mountains overlook the vineyards and give the whole estate a spellbinding, romantic and tranquil ambience.
There’s just something about this place that makes you wanna fall in love. You instantly wish a Prince Froggy could sweep you off the earth right there and then.
If you go in the summer; don a flowy summer dress, a wide brimmed hat and take plenty pics by the red rose garden while at it.
The chef prepares only 2 main dishes (beef steak or salmon) which are paired with one of their wines. Both done to perfection. I’d say vegetarians probably have the best time here because all they do is wine wine wine, no option time to line their stomachs😂😂😂
I would highly recommend that you call in and find out if there’s space before pulling through.
The tasting and lunch are well priced but if you wanna buy a bottle be prepared to dig a little deeper into your pocket.response / report this review -

Another beautiful wine estate. The name lives up to its name. Rest in peace.
It's very peaceful here. Beauty surrounds you in every direction. Wine tasting is great and restaurant serves good food.

Great wine tasting place and they have a simple lunch menu. The restaurant is extraordinary. The best restaurant experience we had in South Africa. Fantastic food and staff. If you can get a booking. Definitely worth a visit if you are in Stellenbosch.

Breathtaking viewshowever can't help but feel that you are paying for the exclusivity of a bottle number at the back of the bottle . Nothing special about the wine. Service is shocking!! Says something when the matrede is more important than the guests and socialising amongst staff behind the counter is the highlight of the day instead of making sure the guests are comfortable and looked after.
