Good location. Excellent menu and not too pricey.
Staff are very attentive so ten out of ten for service.
Good steak always correctly cooked.
Always have specials.

Excellent food and service. Will definitely take friends with next time. Great atmosphere, no rushing, it feels as if you want to forget about duties and just switch off. Well done Ben's on the Beach.

Food: incredible!!! Excellent selection, great quality.
Staff: very friendly, very helpful.
Access: beach road, easy to find, ample parking. Easy to get a wheelchair into Ben's.
Price: very very well priced considering the level of quality.

Good food. Not the usual steak and chips. Good wine list. Other alcohol served as well. Delicious deserts. Awesome view. Sometimes parking could be a problem.

Lovely restaurant in front of Strand Beach. Decent menu selection with a few daily specials as well. We waited some time to get service even though the restaurant was not full at all. We were also not given a drinks menu. The waitress memorized our orders but gave me the wrong drink and it was not cold. I have noticed though that a lot of restaurants in Strand do not give you ice cold drinks. Guess I have to start asking for ice from now on. I dont know who likes lukewarm cider though.The food was super delicious and very well presented. I will definitely return for the food!

Place was packed, took about an hour to place our order, but the food was worth it. Great vibe, but then Strand Beach road was bumper to bumper and the beach was packed so the overall vibe was great.

This restaurant is situated on Beach Road Strand and has a lovely view of the ocean and sunsets. Not only do you have the view but also good food at very reasonable prices. The service is very good as well.

Amazing food, service and location. Just be prepared to get a lot of squash when you ask for a side of veggies. I was expecting more greens, if you want greens make sure you order a salad. It was really good!!

Best value for money steak you will find anywhere. Ben's food is always on par and consistently good. If you come hungry, make sure to order the Cowboy Cut.

Came for lunch to Ben's and loved it! The service was great and attentive. The food was fantastic! Had the chicken livers; Deep fried hake, and Mauritian seafood. Can recommend!

Steak is always good!!

Had fantastic lunch here to celebrate our 38th anniversary. As always Lisa was awesome and the food top notch. Tempura prawns to start, Keith had the Pork Steak, I had The New York Burger and for dessert Keith had Gateau Opera and I had New York Cheese cake. Everything was well presented and delicious. Thank you for wonderful experience. I highly recommend BENS ON THE BEACH.

What an amazing experience we had. The service and the food was great. Not a big vegetarian selection but there is enough to enjoy yourself. Food was delicious. They have a selection of 2 meals or 3 meals Starter, main and dessert. Reasonably priced and clean restaurant. Really enjoyed it.

Terrible. Avoid at all costs or go to Spur!

A below average chef working in an above average restaurant, whom is completely incapable of cooking steak to your desired preference, while also under seasoning the meat which results in a very bland steak with little to no taste, smothering it in sauce could help the lack of seasoning however your steak will more than likely be overcooked or completely undercooked as this chef has no idea how to cook steak to customer preference.

Honestly you can order anything else on the menu and the food will be good with the sauces being almost exceptional. BUT For steak THIS IS NOT THE PLACE, even an amateur chef at the Spur knows how to make steak BETTER!!!

Suggestion find a new head chef or a chef that specializes in meats and has experience working on the grill, or force your chef to watch a few Youtube videos teaching you how to make the perfect steak. It's not rocket science!

Sent my steak back twice with it coming back either overcooked or completely blue, I gave up hope and went home with an empty stomach. Romantic evening ruined. Never to return again.

Simply the best restaurant in the Helderberg area. Any dish that you order here is special. I would recommend any of their steaks and their desserts are simply wonderful. Book early to ensure you can get a table next to the window where you can enjoy the sunset over the sea.
