Beautiful boutique style hotel in Stellenbosch. The hotel has a relaxed atmosphere and the staff are very friendly and extremely helpful. It was a joy to get up to their welcome each morning. An impressive style buffet breakfast provided with a wide range of food from from hot and cold meat and fish to cheese, fruit and cereal.

Promised an upgrade but only got a room with a French door with no balcony, no view, over noisy restaurant so couldn't have door open anyway! Very slow service at breakfast, everything too much to ask for! Won't return! Nice beds though and free Nespresso coffee machine in room, didn't make up for being woken up at 6.30am by restaurant. Complained via website but NO reply!

I really was not impressed by this hotel's restaurant. I arrived an hour before lunch, when it was relatively quiet, for some coffee and scones in the shady courtyard. Even though there were few people, it took a long time for a waitron to notice me and offer me a table. The table was untidy. I ordered coffee and scones at the same time. The scones arrived first, cold, dry, under-risen, and I am very sure baked the previous day. They were not served with butter, and the cream was not freshly whipped. The coffee, which wasn't what I ordered, arrived about 10 minutes after that, which I found absurd.

Even though the restaurant looks beautiful, the service and food was absolutely not on par.

The high end rooms are nice, the low end are disjointed. The breakfest buffet is fresh and all encompassing to say the least. The restaurant, Helena's, is very good and I recommend it due to quality of produce and relaxing atmosphere.

Real shame that there once amazing Scones now just come as two tiny Scones, service also seems to have gone by the wayside. Hope it's better next time. Use to be my favourite in Stellenbosch.

Beautiful interior, peaceful and friendly staff. The steak was delicious however my girlfriend ordered the chicken which was recommend - it wasnt bad but it tasted like something my mom would of made on a Wednesday night. As a fine dining establishment it needed to be special thats why I give it 3 stars. Other than that it was nice

Absolutely gorgeous hotel in the perfect spot - close to lots of restaurants and shops. Lovely food, beautiful rooms and the staff are really friendly too. Would definitely recommend.
