Very relaxed verandah serving good lunches outside under umbrellas. Delightful atmosphere and music. Pleasant staff too.

Great venue for a family breakfast and they have the most divine Lavender macaroons. The Rose bar is a great place to meet friends for drinks overlooking their beautiful garden and pool.

The ambiance is definitely set at this historic hotel with its amazing paintings. The huge trees confirm this historic environment. This place is a photographer's dream at night. The two painted cows (beautifully done) in the front garden leaves a bit of a question mark. It doesn't fit into this historic setting.

This hotel is a hidden gem. If you are travelling to Cape Town and looking to experience a boutique hotel in the beautiful region of Constantia, look no further than The Alphen. We had one night here and unfortunately that was not enough. The grounds are simply stunning, it will take your breathe away when you arrive, the rooms are extremely generous in size and so luxurious in feel, the restaurant Blanko is beautiful and you can't go passed The Rose Bar for a lovely pre dinner cocktail or nightcap. The staff are fantastic, in particular Hayley (thank you for making our stay so special and our honeymoon so memorable).
The hotel is only 15 minutes from some of the most beautiful wineries and top rated restaurants in the world, La Colombe (if you can get a reservation is well worth it), Constantia Glen and Eagles Nest. The hotel will organise your transport to and from so it's all very stress free getting around without a car.

Beautiful venue for throwing an event and also great to stay. Staff are pilot and friendly. It does get busy at times but their service is never compromised.

Rose garden is just lovely. Dog friendly if you have a well behaved dog. Worth a pizza and a beer. Light DJ on a Friday.
