Good food, good views, good service. I really like that you can taste a wine before ordering either a glass or a bottle and you can have a glass of two or three different wines. Nice selection on their menu. They're pretty good so they could get a 5 star but if you compare them to really fine dining they are not really on exactly the same level as places like La Motte etc.

This is our favourite restaurant. We went there for our anniversary. Very friendly and well-mannered staff. If you come and visit Cape Town, its a must to go there. Brillant food and atmosphere.

We had a very nice diner at the on the rocks restaurant. The sunset was beautiful, going under over Robben islands. The service was friendly and correct. They had a wide choice of wines. Would definitely recommend this restaurant. I would go here again when visiting Cape Town.

Looking forward to our meal as the reviews were favourable. However our experience was poor the calamari was rubbery, pork steak tough, soup was cold, and the taco's tasted of too much like a lemon. The only good point was watching the sun set, but I could have done that outside

Was here for a work function, buffet lunch. Was good. Can't comment on what it's like for 'normal' dining.

Excellent view of Table Mountain if you get the right table and the South Easter isn't blowing (good luck with that in the summer).

The restaurant really is on the rocks.

An amazing view! And a really nice, relaxed atmosphere. It was a great place to visit with friends, exactly what we were looking for. The food was good. The desert menu was a little restrictive…

Had a beautiful view of Table Mountain. The food was very special. I visited with a large group and service was prompt and effective. We opted for a limited menu to speed up the process.

We recently celebrated our Mum's 90th birthday at this restaurant. There were 12 of us altogether, 11 adults and 1 toddler. We gathered from all around the world for the event. We cannot praise this restaurant enough.
Prices are very reasonable considering the beauty of the location. Staff were attentive without being intrusive, the food was fantastic (the crayfish and tiger prawns were amazing!), there were good wines and good-humoured patience with our bundle of balloons. We never once felt that we should hurry to make way for other patrons.
We will most definitely be back to On The Rocks again in future.

The best for breakfast lunch or supper. Superb setting for those lazy Sundays and With Summer coming. They will definitely see me again. The breakfast was delightfully filling and value again for your money. The kids will love it as it is on the beach,literally on the beach. The service was friendly and the Manger is ever vigilant and visits / checks on his Customers
For me that is money well spent.
We and our guest left impressed and happy.
