It's ok fare, the food was half decent, the desert (we had kulfi) was forgettable..Chef claimed he gets this from Cape Town so not his dish. Wouldn't recommend if you are looking for authentic Indian food.
Amazing food and wonderful service all round. Exceeded our spectations.
Nice little place with good service. Great location for dinner and then s little evening stroll around the pretty little town.
Food was horrible, need more spice and flavour, service was uninterested and I found plastic in my food. This place is over priced and substandard. Waste of time and money.
This is such a lekker place for vegetarians, food is amazing and Zee, the waitress, took real good care of us. Will definitely visit again!
Bit of a dark and dreary restaurant setting but the food is excellent and makes up for it.
A little bit on the expensive side for what it is.
The first time I went there for supper. We ordered kebabs. Which was dry and unappetizing.
Then a I ordered lambchops which tasted like steamed meat and just dunked into strong tikka spicey sauce . Won't return there..very unprofessional.and I could see the chef eating while prepping the food. Not cool st all. Thankyou .I won't return.
Really lovely food, cooked with all the right spices. It is however rather expensive - not wine estate prices but double the price of all other restaurants in the direct area. We prefer it for special occasions (that deserve a small splash). Great wine selection at a price. Very knowledgeable staff and really helpful.
Great curry. Great vibe. Excellent service
Excellent food - managed our large group very well.
Nice food friends staff
Very tasty indian food! Big servings.
Great Food! Best curry I have ever had.
Unfortunately, this is the only place in Stellenbosch where one can get good, authentic Indian food. The food is freshly prepared, the various curries and tandoori dishes will please almost anyone, while the garlic naan and is simply amazing.
While the food prices are on the high side (R160 for a curry), but the wine prices are simply a rip-off. I do not mind a restaurant making a good profit on wine sales, but when a bottle of Rupert & Rothschild Classique is listed at R315 while it sells at R110 in the shop, that is just ridiculous.
Unfortunately this tendency to overprice has been picked up by the local diners, and it's no wonder that the restaurant is almost always empty.
