Emergency room is shockingly poor. Waiting 2 hours for help whilst the nurses chatted, had coffee, on their phones etc. And the amazing part was that the waiting room was empty !!

The worst service ever. I rushed to the emergency room with a child who was not well . I was told to wait by the admin lady. She only placed her palm on his forehead and said he doesn't have temperature. I guess as far as she is concerned only a high body temperature is alarming. Its not like I wanted immediate attention from a doctor all I wanted was for a nurse to check his vitals so I can know my child was well. Only when I really got pissed off and threatened to sue them suddenly a nurse was free to check him. I have received better service at a public hospital. This is just a fancy place where you pay lots of money but get lousy service. Unfortunately it's the closest hospital to where I stay so might find myself back there but now I know to get any help, just throw a tantrum on arrival!

I came in with one issue, I came out with another that doesn’t relate to the previous issue. When I told them the medication thy giving me is not responding to my body the doctor said it’s the side effects. I respected that n lived with the pain thinking it will get better till at night when I started vomiting and all thy could tell me is to suck on ice literally now I have a whole stomach ulcer issue that I didn’t have when I got there ! If you looking for fancy n not help then that’s the perfect place pal

A relative was admitted to the emergency room after 2 am. Being a patient with a history of heart problems we requested a transfer to another hospital in order to have his regular cardiologist treat him. Waited hours just to receive an ambulance to transport the patient. Normally their general patient service is good but i would never recommend to take an emergency room bound patient to use their services.

I am currently admitted in this hospital and I hate it. I got to the ward for admissions and no one attended to me for about an hour. Post-op I asked for my meal to be warmed up. The nurses didn't do it until my fiance called. Right now I am in pain and don't know if I'll get a good night rest. By far the worst netcare hospital I've been to.

Contemplated to go to this hospital after reading the reviews. Took a chance anyway. From the time I walked into Casualty, dealt with reception staff, the nurses and the Doctor on call, I received nothing but friendly A+ service from all. Thank You!

If you don't congratulate a fish for swimming, then maybe being a nice, clean, and friendly hospital with DIY wheelchairs, ramps to spin them on, and the regular hour and a half admission process, does not earn them an extra pat on the scapula, 'cos that's what they're supppposed to be. But One Thousand, Three Hundred Rands (R1300.00) - just to SEE, as in talk to, a doctor?? makes me think my local Nyanga, Sangoma, or Dichem Clinic sister are equally deserving of their pound of pudding - AND! I still have enough left over for a walky-talky lunch and a muti at Mrs. Tshabalala's in Alex.

I don't know how many times I've been admitted to this hospital or going to the ER with my baby. Great treatment always

The worst netcare hospital by far. The service is just appalling. I felt like I was in a public hospital. Waiting 3 hours for results from a previous visit and the matron in charge had the nerve to tell me they don't have beds for me to receive my results. This is after 2.5 hours of waiting for these results. Shocking.

Definitely the best hospital that i have ever been to, I like the fact that they have clicks on the premises. The only thing that i dint like was the amount specialist charge which i think is a bit over the top.

What a poor excuse for a hospital. Bad admin, bad nursing staff, uninterested doctors. Took our 94 year old gran there after she fell. Since she has been there she has actually gotten worse. After leaving her unattended (she has Altzheimers disease), she cut her hand open in the ward. They left her with an open wound for over 6 hours before we saw her in the evening - it required 8 stitches! Staff seems unable to understand basic medical conditions. They can't even get her food right - soft foods for a 94 year old means exactly that!

The service is just service. You ask for something to be done and wait forever for it to be actioned. The facilities are new so mist things are in order. The food is really bad and they don't get their own menu right. It's just close to home so convenient

Horror Experience, Stay away from their emergency department, rather spend a few more minutes driving to Netcare Sunninghill. Doctors and nurses in Waterfalls emergency department resemble so much of a public hospital, they probably come directly from there. No care attitude, don't even examine you properly. Just a quick check and some medication to get rid of you as quick as possible so they can get back to their sleep. Really. Actually saw staff sleeping at 1:30 in the morning Disgrace of a department. The horror stories you've heard are true. Don't risk it and find out for yourself.
