This hospital saved my life when i was stroked December 2017. Thanks for the professional doctors who treated and attend to me at the ICU and all the staff, nurses and crews who are kind and attentive to patients. They have complete equipments and the place is quiete and clean. This is one of the best hospital i visited with international standards.

Its quite disturbing that you pay so much money for medical aid, yet when my mom was advised to be at the clinic at 13h00 today to have an op done to her wrist that she broke, it is now 21h13 and she is still sitting in the waiting room to go in for her operation.
She has not eaten since this morning 6h00 because she was advised not to eat after 6h00. i find it absolutely pathetic that a 57 year old lady must sit in this kind of condition when she has medical aid, and was advised to be at the clinic at a specific time.
I previously used to think very highly of Bedford Clinic but this is not the first horrible experience myself or a family member has had at Bedford Clinic. This is no way to treat a patient with a broken wrist especially a lady of my moms age.
Not impressed at all with the way she has been treated during this painful experience.

Private hospitals are not very good anymore. People are having very traumatic and frightening experience's at quite a few that I know of. It's sad and scary because we're on medical aid yet staff are nasty and unresponsive. However, I always go to Life Bedford because I feel safe and in good hands. It's never nice to be in hospital a lot. ..but I think Life Bedford is so good and I feel safe there and in good hands. Staff responsive and caring on the most part.

My husband was in unbearable pain since late on Monday night. After a sleepless night at 03:30 am I decided to take him to Life Bedford Gardens hospital being the nearest private hospital in this area. On arrival at the hospital I was to fill in the paperwork, which was a quick and easy process for me not being in pain. However my husband who was in unbearable pain was made to sit & wait instead of take him in seeing as to how bad he was. My husband at the time was throwing up, & was made to do so in a dustbin by the nurse. After about 15 minutes of waiting the doctor came in. I had explained all the signs and symptoms to the doctor on duty Dr Evelyn Gordon. I had also informed him of my husbands prior history with suffering from appendix; however even with not much of an examination he was diagnosed with gastric flu or just a common tummy bug. I did explain my concerns as he was in alot of pain that it could be his appendix again however no tests were done. He then wrote out a prescription and informed the nurse to give an injection to my husband for the pain. We then left the hospital and returned home. On leaving the hospital my husband was still in pain; however we knew it would take a few minutes for the injection to start working. At 5a.m my husband was still in unbearable pain and still hadn't slept since returning home. I decided to take him to another hospital; were after a urine, blood and x-Ray tests he was diagnosed with an inflamed appendix. He was then rushed to theatre as it was suspected the appendix had burst. After an hour or so his op was over and confirmed that the appendix burst. My husband could have died because of the misdiagnosis of Dr Evelyn Gordon. All because he failed to listen to a patient and because he didn't believe it important to do the respective test even after being informed of my husbands prior history. This is the first of many post I will make due to the unprofessional manner which my husbands case was handled and also because of a doctor who didn't care for a patients life.

Having my son Walking on crutches a far distance through hospital and down a flight of stairs to orthopedic surgeon as elevator was not working and apparently is always faulty. Had to pay for appointment upfront, but banking card machine not working. Arrived to be told by receptionist that Doctor is running 2 hours late and they didn't bother to notify us before we arrived. This all before we even saw a doctor.

I have had numerous lung infections. The staff at Bedford Gardens Hospital saved my life on more than one occasion. I am happy to say that I received such professional care from all at ICU and Tulip ward. The staff were very friendly and kind. They were always at my bedside when I needed help. Thank you so much to all the staff that took care of me during my stay. You are all so professional. I would definitely recommend this hospital to all I know.
