Absolutely fantastic food. Awesome for families and a getaway from Cape Town. The lovely, well crafted environment lends itself to a memorable lunch with the tastiest food. Been here a bunch of times and the whole family loves it. Generally give it a try if you're in the area. Riebeek Kasteel is a beautiful, small, quaint South African town and Mama Cucina's is a special part.

Unexpected pop in here. Love the atmosphere, not sure what the vibe is but i liked it. Really not pricey food was well presented and so delicious. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable about the food. Wont mind popping in again if i am near there.

Very cute little restaurant, the food is delicious and the drinks were server very cold. Although, the waitress took extremely long to bring my drink as she forgot to order it,but another waitress noticed and asked me just before getting up. Their pasta meatball is lovely, although not completely to my taste of a meatball and have an added bite to it which is really nice. Their pizza (cant remember the name of it) but it has beef and spinach with a little bit of yogurt on top,now this is not a pizza i usually buy, but it was a lovely tasting pizza especially with the plain yogurt! Very sweet and lovely place

Such a lovely intimate restaurant, serves lunch and dinner with an amazing menu. Staff is bilingual serving you in Afrikaans / English with very friendly service. One of the most popular places in the small town. Food was flavorful and serving size was quite big. Prices are good. Gets quite busy in season, but the quality and service we got was great regardless. They offer eat in options and order and collect.

Cosy atmosphere, but they ran out of a basic ingredient. They handled it with grace and offered me suitable alternatives. I was there to kill time over lunch and wanted to work. So the waiters organized me a two point plug and the wifi password. Friendly staff and really fresh and good food. Was almost sorry to leave. I will definitely be back when I pass through Riebeeck.

We had a great Sunday lunch here at Mama Cucina! The decor is great and the service is awesome. We shared a delicious mussel starter that was perfectly balanced with loads of flavour and the bread seemed baked to order, it was so fresh. Always great when your waiter actually knows the food well and can recommend things. For mains we had pizza and pasta both perfect. The time between orders and eating was less than 10 minutes which was incredibly quick. For drinks we had the Sunrise Tequila cocktails that we tasty and strong. For dessert we had shared a yummy baked malva pudding and didn't have space to enjoy the inviting gelato bar next time.

Will definitely be back and recommend it everyone.

Had the most amazing pizza. The Sofi 'something'. And also the tagliatelle prawns. Thoroughly enjoyed them, and was worth the drive. Will definitely return and take some pictures on my next trip.

Really lovely place with amazing pizza to dig into. Other types of food are also available for those not into pizza. The interior has a gentle touch of the yesteryear vibe. A place for anyone, young to old.

Sometimes very busy in peak times, but the Sophia Loren pizzas are the best and these guys are passionate about their food. We love to go there as a treat on those days we simply don't want to have to cook.

I have been here 3 times with friends and family.The place was always full but both the service and the food is always good.Seating is a bit cramped outside and it gets very hot in summer so everyone tries to sit at a shady spot, which is not always easy.There is indoor seating as well but it can get noisy with both kitchen and bar in the same central space.There are chalkboards up listing the specials both inside and outside on the side walls.Food is well prepared,well presented and tasty. Bathrooms are clean and neat.

Great Italian food with a spicy twist. Atmosphere is great and the wine menu supports good wines from the atea. Enjoyed Keith's choice pizza the prawn tagliatelle . Best food that we have had in a while.

The food was very good. They just struggled with our large table because their were only two waiters in the restaurant at that time. Having said that, their service was good and it was an enjoyable experience.
