Great venue for a laid back well balanced

The food is below average for a 4/5 star rating it's extremely disappointing. My food was cold; no flavour out of 10 the food is a 3. Rather go to Irene Lodge; the food is absolutely great 5 out of 5 you won't regret it

The best thing about this hotel is its atmosphere. They have created a really cozy place with beautiful gardens and spaces.
The staff is normally very nice and friendly.
The rooms are well equipped and with an elegant touch.
There are buts too, but not dramatic ones. I would try to have a better swimming pool and improve some services like the gym. But probably its weakest point is the breakfast, although you probably have the variety you are expecting they sometimes run out of product. And by the way, the music in there is terrible (and too loud many times).
So with all that, I'd recommend this place over any other to anyone that is visiting the area.response / report this review -

Was there for a function. Certain food items ran out at the buffet and it took them so long to replace those items. Baked potatoes was under done and beef dry. Most dishes was just bland. The food was cold. There was mousse on our menu, but after they ran out of mousse they replaced it with cake. The custard was sour. The buffet table was outside and it was so dark that we couldn't see as we dished up. The water jug on our table was cracked and leeked water. I asked the waiter to replace the salt shaker on our table. He never came back.

My all time favorite a home away from home. Waiters are friendly and welcome you by name. Knows your room preference, makes it all worth the travel.

Wonderful peaceful surroundings at the spa on the same grounds as the Hotel. I went for a massage. The staff at the spa were professional, the therapy room was clean and we received free tea/coffee/juice upon arrival and departure. If you feel like a get away within the city this is the place to be!
