Wow! Absolutely beautiful! The setting takes your breath away; and the warm, welcoming and elegant furnishings are fit for a king (& queen!). And the food and wine fits perfectly in this picture - just an amazing explosion of flavours and aromas. And to complete the picture there are the most friendly, professional staff. Wow wow wow ❤😍🍾

The place is beautifully located and clean and staff are very helpful.It is a place one can well recommend.It might be little pricey according to the customer.

Very nice accommodation. Self catering kitchen, lounge and dining area. No TV in the bedroom. Beautiful bathrooms. Buffet breakfast in the restaurant was great.

What a beautiful setting. Such a peaceful and relaxed space. Sitting having breakfast overlooking the small lake with fish, watching the birds fly around and the mist lift from the mountain. It feels like worlds away from civilisation but with amazing restaurants and shops a short walk away.

Quite unexpected but a lovely surprise when you enter the 1 bedroom villa because the website only shows you a picture of the room, nothing else. Cosy room and perfect view

Great location, stunning views, lovely spacious rooms, delicious breakfast - generally a great establishment. We got a last minute booking so rate was discounted making it very good value but even at full rate it would be worth it.

We decided to stay an extra couple of days in Franschhoek so booked a 2 bed villa at L'Ermitage. We were shown to our villa. When we asked about the wifi we were told what to connect to - when i said it didn't work i was told to keep trying. It didn't work at all the 2 days we were there. So we had 2 rooms - both were big. Our friends room overlooked the pathway and other appartments. Our room - whichever window we looked out of, all we had was views of a concrete wall. The wall under the air conditioning unit was peeling - there was a hole in the wall (conveniently behind a chair) and the peeled paint and plaster which was on the floor hadn't been hoovered up! There was a cockroach in the middle draw in our bathroom - i complained to reception - they sent housekeeping to remove it. The amount of bleach used stank the room out. Our towel situation consisted of 2 medium towels, 2 hand towels and a bathmat the first night. The 2nd night housekeeping only left us with 2 medium towels, no hand towels and no bathmat so we had to tread very carefully and hope neither of us slipped! With regards to the terrace, the furniture is wrought iron so be careful you don't burn yourself - even though there are cushions on the chairs/loungers the arms get very hot! The pool is just a large fountain! We didn't go in it as it wasn't that clean. While we were sitting by the pool a couple appeared with a member of staff who was carrying towels and drinks for them! At no point did that member of staff ask if we wanted towels or something to drink Opposite the pool there was a villa which was in the process of being refurbished i assume as where the inside had been ripped out, it had just been left on the terrace which made the area look untidy. With regards to breakfast - the staff need some serious training. The tables weren't laid and had to be done once we had sat down. One member of staffs trousers were badly split in the crotch area and the uniforms were dirty. We did complain to the staff when we checked out but to be honest nobody seemed to care We would not go back to this hotel
