5 stars for location and view. Wine selection and service get a 1 star. Very unimaginative menu considering the location and the wine list could not be more plain and boreing. This place needs a new mojo before before all it has is the great view.

Very large complex 20 to 30 mins from the CPT airport. A hire car is a must as well as a sat nav. Big apartments. Some overlook the sea and some the lagoon. Marvellous location up the coast from Cape Town. Located at Table View. Great beaches, especially for kite board surfing.
3 Downsides; no ramp to get to the reception area from car park area for luggage and wheel chairs etc, and be very careful when getting out of the showers in the apartments. In my view and experience, an accident waiting to happen. I had one. Very high step down onto a tiled/marble floor. In winter the heating of the apartment was quite basic and poor. I would trust that the aircon would be much the same in summer.

In all my travels I have never experienced wifi and internet connection this bad! For the money I paid i really expected I could at least download my emails in less then 2 hours. Other than that everything is OK. If you need some work done while traveling DO NOT GO TO THIS HOTEL

I had a pleasant stay at Dolphin Beach Hotel last weekend. Our room was right next to the beach and was really spacious. The hotel is close to many of the nice restaurants and bars in Blouberg. The on site restaurant, Blowfish, is really good and provides excellent sushi and really fresh seafood. The included breakfast was also good.
It's worth noting that the beaches around there are primarily for kite surfers i.e. not many swimmers and bathers. The reason for this is that it's windy, very windy, most of the time so bear this in mind when considering this part of Cape Town.
Lastly, the hotel's wifi access was very unreliable. They may as well not have had it.

Very pricey food for what you get. Service can be slow. Incredible, unmatched views of the ocean and Table Mountain.
