This is the best hotel, the staff treats one like a king. Very close to the main road in sea point and promenade. I enjoyed my stay and will definately be going back soon.

Let's start with the good: the location is walkable to both shopping and beach areas, the view is lovely from the big patios, the size of rooms are generous, and Luke (a gracious and helpful manager) is an asset to their team. The parking area is secure.

Cons: The rooms are lacking many amenities expected at the price point of this hotel (let alone one which claims to be a boutique hotel)- this includes basics such as tissues and hangers. We stayed in their nicest room, but our furniture was showing big signs of weae and our blinds to our bathroom were broken. Not all other staff are as helpful or friendly as Luke (especially the morning, male receptionist). The parking is tight.

Poorly handled booking - rooms not in keeping with website pics and standards. No fridge as told and no light bulbs replaced in room.

The booking was made via a booking website - when arrived we were asked why we would use the website despite being South African - the booking for three was only registered for two and as a result we were shunted into a substandard dormitory like room with 2 bunk beds and not even a fridge or working lights.

Not in keeping with usual integrity and South African standard - very substandard

Great value for the price. Location is in a safer area of Cape Town. 5 minute walk from a dozen great restaurants and a short driving distance to the coast, downtown and the V&A Waterfront. Staff were highly accommodating, friendly and provided great advice in regards to sight seeing etc.

Great place to stay, nice rooms, garden area for lounging, as well as a sauna & jacuzzi. The only weird thing was the bathroom did not have a door!!! The door was not broken of or anything, it simply was designed that way with a frosted glass partition between the bathroom and bedroom.

We stayed at the grand Grande Kloof Boutique Hotel for my wife's 50th birthday and I must confess this is the best hotel I've stayed in to-date. The service was 5 star and the staff were the best I've ever experienced, friendly, warm and very welcoming. To Cameron, Alex and the rest of the staff at Grande Kloof well done guys you were exceptional and keep up the good work. To the people who want to visit Grande Kloof you will not make a mistake, believe me. I will definitely be going back there very soon.
